98,002 there last night and they shut the MCC members reserve 40 min before the game.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't one of the reasons for the MCG redevelopment was to fit 100,000 people into the ground 'reasonably' comfortably??? (I'm sure it was 1 of Garry Lyon's points in those MCG commercials)

I know the old southern stand had heaps of standing room and thats why we could fit 110,000 but its amazing to think the G has had 2 major redevelopments since that stand was leveled and we can't get 100,000 in it.

If you buy a ticket and can't attend for whatever reason, emergency, illness, car accident on the way to the stadium , (In Collingwood's case this could also include lockup for the night olice ... You don't get counted as having attended ...

Far out, almost 10,000 Collingwood supporters were locked up before the game last night, it really is a serious problem.

Perhaps you should be looking at the other side of the ground to see where your difference lies.

They lied, after the development they admitted that the capacity is 98,000
