We have beaten every team except the bulldogs this season and last season .
We’ve beaten 13 from 17 teams last time we played them on the MCG.
The exceptions are Port North Bulldogs & Sydney.
We haven’t actually played three of those teams on the mcg for two or three years.

Remember in R8 (2016) when Sam Lloyd kicked a goal after the siren to beat Sydney?

He launched us on a really dominant period on the mcg
28 wins from 33 games. (The 5 losses being haw, Geel stk, Freo & Syd).

The last three years at the mcg

2018 - 10/10 (100%)
2017 - 12/14. (85.7%)
2016 - 7/14. (50%).

That would make Beavis one of the great coaches. 3 Premierships with 3 different clubs (the Barrasi Matthews Club) and now breaking Norm Smith’s MCG record?

You know I would sacrifice one of the next three at the G and the record if it meant we started the run again and was in the same position again this time next year. ;D

4 of our next 6 away from that G. it would be nice to debunk the theory from the haters that we can't play away from there.

We've got:

# 17 = Adelaide
# 18 = Collingwood
# 19 = Geelong
# 20 = Essendon
# 21 = Bulldogs

The stat itself doesn't matter, but if we do keep winning then the aura and intimidation factor would be a significant advantage come finals.

So we are now 17 wins in a row at the MCG.

That is equal to the best ever winning streak on the MCG set by Melbourne Coached by the legend Norm Smith

17 - Rich 2017 - 2018 (TBA).
17 - melbourne 1955 -1956

To get the outright record of #18 wins
We have to beat Collingwood In a few weeks.
