What i dont get.if the dees are paying 100% tpp,s then why did they get a handout last year?

Exactly, I doubt there was ever any reason to worry for 2009 given the "outs" that are being lined up!

This highlights the problem with the 92.5% minimum though doesn't it (though RFC's potential problem is not MFC's circumstances). You just cannot load up with kids for a rebuild - not the way some would have it. You end up overpaying some just to reach the minimum - and human nature being what it is you can;t get away with "front-loading" a contract either because memories are short when it comes to overpayments.

The minimum MUST be reduced, so clubs can pay on value returned without risk, not value projected.

Neitz and White are both veterans so only half of their salary counts in the TPP.

So if they were on 600k each then that frees 300k each for their replacements and that still leaves Melbourne at 100%.

See, Melbourne, the worst list in the AFL, is the highest paid and is over 100% if you allow the extra 600k for their vets.
