Melbourne coach Dean Bailey expects the Demons to break their winless run to the AFL season on Sunday on their own merit against fellow strugglers Richmond.

A bit of a pointless thread.

What is he going to say? "richmond are in top form and we are no chance" ... ?

We have basically said that bout Geelong and the Dogs
albeit after the event

If you look through the actual quotes in the article there is nothing to support the journo's claim that Bailey expects to beat us. If I was a Melbourne supporter I'd certainly hope he thought in private that they can beat us, and I certainly hope Terry feels the same behind the scenes about them.

No real point to this thread. All you've done is take a typical coaches statement before the match. From Mr Possitive himself none the less lol. I'd be confident facing the tigers on this form as well. However Melbourne lost by 80points to port adelaide and stand very little chance

Wow how impressive of Dean Bailey to be making statements like that... yawn
Walla$e will be asking for a contract exten$ion once we beat the underperforming Dees.

He is only stating the obvious. Ferals as we inch closer to another coach banned for life perhaps this Sunday will be the final straw. Should be interesting though as their are no more membership cards to fling.

I'm looking forward to the top spin from him and the players if we do & should win this game.

This week, he's already proven to be 'delusional' enough to still think his coaching methods are successful.

Demons are short of man power, experience and lack key players as yet ....... The Tigers are a rabble.

With recruitment in recent times of likes of Morton, Watts, Garland, Warnock, Bate, Petterd, Bennell, and Grimes and a huge chance of getting both Scully and Butcher this year the Demons will build a decent sort of a side.

Melbourne has no goal kickers thats their biggest issue.

What do you expect Bailey to say: we'll go out there and try, but honestly guys I've got a team of kids, we're going to get completely towelled up.

Bailey might even go before Wallace

Yet people bag TW mercilessly for doing the same thing, except replace kids for hacks.
