Tiger74, Surely next year has a bit more significance than other years?

Not really, I will care more about where we are on the ladder at the end of the season that any feelgood factor during the Carlton game celebration week.

No cap for Gold or above members?

Especially because it's our centenary year, the new logo etc....surley all members could get a cap!

What is the bloody story?

Your a member for years, you pay up year after year no question, and then you don't get a centenary cap!

>:(

I used to feel that way about the caps. I love the scarf but I totally understand where you are coming from. I think perhaps they should give us a choice. A tick box on the renewal form Cap or Scarf ;)

Scarves are for kids up to about 15 years (males, females OK) or soccer fans.If your an adult and where one you've either been bought up a Melbourne supporter and come to your senses or your a bit soft.
Bring back the cap!

Agree, I feel just wrong without my Tigers scarf at the footy.

I suggested scarves instead of caps on the survey. I've seen other teams' scarves and they look great. We get a few caps a year and seeing I don't throw any out there are millions, give or take a few, of them in the wardrobe. I should get around to taking them to the op shop. Am happy to be receiving a scarf instead this year. Has anyone got their scarf yet and if so can they please describe it?

my guess is that its black and yellow and made of some sort of fabric and you hang it round yr neck :hihi

Its great Rosy, the scarf is in a weave type fabric and it's all in yellow with the word Richmond on one side and Tigers on the other side both in black writing.
Towards the end of each side of the scarf its in black with "Member 2008 in white" and "Platinum" just above it in a silver type thread.

You're right about the hats i have about a dozen sitting in the cupboard and i think its good to have a change.

Yeah no worries Digger. Horses for courses.
I've been going to the footy with the same crew for years and we've never been scarf sort of people.
you look abit dawky standing at the bar at the pub after the game in your casual gear with a scarf wrapped around ya.
Just my opinion
Especially if a quiet one or two end up being a not so quiet 10 or 20. if we've just beaten Colonwood or Carltank you could end up being choked with it.
But I s'pose it will look good hanging in the bar in the pool room :beer

I was always a big fan of the key-rings that were given out in the late 90's . Still use one from 98....useful all year round too.

y'know the keyrings were the only things that actually worked and lasted! Good call Kiwi!

The most useless thing ever as judged against it's proposed use was the tea towel!

RIP the tea towel (a very unattractive piece of fabric).
