PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

It's been alluded to on another thread but I felt it deserved greater discussion.

One of the things that really stood out from yesterday's game is how easily our players were intimidated by the certain Fremantle players, particularly puffy chested Headland and plastic tough guy Soliman.
I reckon their aggressive antics played some role in changing the flow of the game when we were in front.
There were several occasions when many of our young players looked intimidated by their opponents and the senior players were as usual not prepared to fly the flag for the kids.

There is rarely much chance of a melee breaking out when you play the Tigers unfortunately.

Terry has got to change this culture that has been evident over a number of years. He's barely been able to do that so far..
I'm not sure he can do it by recruiting skinny half forward flankers who have nice natures. We need more mongrels at the RFC. Whilst it's been encouraging to see the likes of White, King and Jackson injected into the team recently who all show a bit of agro, it's still a considerable problem.

We need to be very careful that oppositions don't continue to target us with the rough stuff or soon enough we'll be inheriting the Geelong tag.
Time to get Tiger tough.
