I was watching Nick Malceski play well for Sydney tonight and had the hope Danny Meyer might develop similarly. Scything delivery into forward line, handy defensive pressure, runs with the pill. I have a decent feeling about Danny's inclusion this time and think his Coburg days may be over. Whatchareckon?

I agree.

I believe in Danny Meyer's ability, think he will become a star. Moreso than Richard Tambling.

hmmm malceski never heard that one before

think more robert murphy with a better head!

I know it's not your standard comparison, but I've been a fan of Malceski for a while. If Danny develops in the same vein I'd be not too displeased.

Wouldn't reckon DM is tall enough for that role. Ok, I'll settle for Peter Daicos then.

I'd hope he'd be a hell of a lot better than Malceski.

From what Danny has produced so far, i'd be happy right now if he was half as good as Malceski.

GO TIGES!!!

Danny is the only current draftee that is capable of being anything close to the next Nathan Brown ;)

Nah, he's a great mark and beautiful kick (best in the club?) and his inside skills are fantastic. He's shown a bit of grunt lately too ;D

Don't want much settling for a scumwood like Daics. What did he ever do to acheive anything?????????????????????????????????? ;D

I want improvement from Danny as I do the rest of the list. Danny is two years away from being a regular but it will be worth the wait.

Again, he's a Murphy type.

Murphy took all of one game to settle in and Mystore needs four years, sure there's a similarity there somewhere.

Well when he is 23 he may well play like Mal.
He has time on his side.
People think Mal just is a young up and comer but he has been around for a while.

I think we're playing Meyer in the wrong position, to be honest.

I don't see him as a half-forward flanker, and whether he hasn't got the 'motor' yet, or more than likely, isn't "bulky" enough yet....I see him as a more onballer, in the centre....and not wasted down in the forward line, where his skills are wasted a bit now.

Goals for a start!

Decent finishing and an ability to make himself available as an option when going forwards.
