His name says it all.

Respect,

Hard Work,

No Short cuts,

Great Recruiter,

Great Developer of youth,

2 flags, 4 grand finals.

Who better than Malthouse to take over the reigns when they become available? :whistle

Only trouble is can he be prized from the clutches of the Leper Centre?

Yep he would be great for holding up the magnetic board.

Didn't we beat his team last time we played them?

Mickey was a mongrel...he played with passion, he has an arrogance of success, he was hard working, he played with tenacity, he earned respect...and he was a tiger. Perhaps one of the best to wear the Number 7 jumper, he got over being robbed of the opportunity of playing in a grand final after he slogged it out with Bourkey by giving his all for the club...he didnt sook or spit the dummy but went on. He deserves the rewards that have come his way!

But not even he could turn things around...at the moment!

Richmonds next cockroach must be from the new breed, with no ideations or delusions of grandeur about the list.

I still hold hope that Wallace will have the courage to coach for the future. That is, if he stays true to the role (and does not coach for his own self preservation), I believe things will work themselves out for the best........if not........ :help

;)For me,we should have chosen David Cloke before Frawley.A man respected,a great partner in Julie, would have nurtured their sons at Tigerland:has coached with success in Canberra,Tassie, the old VFA.Still my prime candidate.McAllister would agree.

I hope that was in jest :vomit

::)Clearly someone does not like David Cloke, anyway I think he got 6 to 8 goals against carlton in his last game.I cannot remember a better bag against them since, but I could be wrong.

Well then, he must be our next coach - no doubt about it. 8)

I dont think WALLACE WAS DELUDED about our list

I think we're all getting a little to anti-Wallace. I mean, I was fuming over the McHack thing as much as anybody on here, but when I see threads about Malthouse and Sheeds etc, well it's panic stations and the season hasn't even started.

Have a look at the Tigers 2007 B&F count, all bar Deledio, Polak & King are from the past. Look at Hawthorns B&F count, all bar Lewis & Franklin are pre-2004. Polak was a mature aged trade and King a mature age recruit, the point I'm trying to make is Wallace's crop of kids are yet to hatch.
Why has Hawthorn then come on in leaps and bounds and the tigers, well....still cr@p?
Lets do a comparison, let's look at our yield from the 1999 - 2003 drafts and compare to that of Hawthorn. Remeber, this is all pre-Wallace/Clarkson, and represent a player demographic at or about their prime.

Richmond 2000-2003
Pettifer (#8, 2000)
Coughlan (#25, 2000)
Hyde (#40, 2000 & #68, 2001)
Newman (#55, 2000)
Johnson (traded, 2002)
Jay Schulz (#12, 2002)
Brown (traded, 2003)
Jackson (#53, 2003)
Tuck (#73, 2003)
Raines (#76, 2003)

Hawthorn 2000-2003
Tim Clarke (#33, 1999)
Chance Bateman (#48, 1999)
Mark Williams (#43, 2000)
Luke Hodge (#1, 2001)
Rick Ladson (#16, 2001)
Campell Brown (#32, 2001)
Sam Mitchell (#36, 2001)
Tim Boyle (#51, 2002)
Croad (traded, 2003)
Jacobs (traded, 2003)
Zac Dawson (#41, 2003)
Brad Sewell (Rookie Elevation, 2003)

Richmond has netted themselves 10 players and Hawthorn 12 from this period (as it stands today). Again, not a huge disparity there, however, if you look at the Peter Crimmins medal count for 2007 you will find 6 of the top ten place getters from the list above. Same excercise for the Jack Dwyer medal count, you will find four of the above names.

Have a look at the respective lists, make your own judgement(s)........have a look at Hawthorns B&F from 2007 (only Crawford is past his best) whilst a similar anaylsis of Richmonds B&F and well......there's a point for discussion!

Wallace's day of judgement is coming, but I think we need to give him to the end of the year at the very least. If you disagree, look at the above list again, half that lot were taken with 50+ selections!

If nothing else, Wallace will leave punt road in a better state than he found it.

No, player list actually.

An evaluation of the respective trading history of Richmond between 2004 - 2007 (the 4 drafts under Wallace)

Richmond 2004-2007
Deledio (#1, 2004)
Tambling (#4, 2004)
Meyer (#12, 2004)
Pattison (#16, 2004)
polo (#20, 2004)
McGuane (#36, 2004)
Limbach (#52, 2004)
JON (#8, 2005)
Hughes (#24, 2005)
Casserly (#40, 2005)
Riewoldt (#13, 2006)
Edwards (#26, 2006)
Connors (#58, 2006)
Peterson (#60, 2006)
Collins (#73, 2006)
Cothin (#2, 2007)
Rance (#18, 2007)
Putt (#51, 2007)

18 players pick via the ND , at an average pick No. 28, only 2 speculative picks (Limback & Peterson) have perished to date.

As I said, if nothing else Wallace will leave punt road in better shape than he found it.
