I find it fasinating that Malthouse is angry and seeking answers about the Pies being smasehd in the clerances today, even though his team won comfortably.
This is the hallmark of a good coach, he wont rest until hes satsified in all aspects.
This is something our coach is not. He gets warm and fuzzy over a few wins late last year. And furthermore, he is deluded if what I heard his press conference today is correct. Saying that starts are costing us and our second half was much better
The absolute fact is that we get smashed when it counts, we kick 4-5 cheap goals when the pressure is off, and then as soon as some pressure is applied we are absolutley smashed again
The conclusion is as soon as some pressure is applied by the oppositon we go to water. Just because we kick 4-5 goals after the horse has bolted and the game is over dosent mean sh!t in my eyes. If he does in our coaches eyes then we are actually in more trouble then i thought, if that is even possible
