Miller U R A DUD!!!

Harry said:
I've been undecided on Miller for a while and thought that he has made some bad recruiting decisions in his time at the RFC.  More bad recruiting than good.  He redeemed himself by getting Wallace however.  Therefore I have been undecided, but had serious doubts.

I am now of the opinion that he is taking our great club into the ground and doing more harm than good.

I'm also starting to question Wallace for allowing him to do so.

Harry what were your thoughts on them almost getting Fevola cheaply last year? How do you think he would have gone and what difference he would have made at Tigerland?

i find it laughable that people actually think GM and TW want to ruin this club....it seems that some of the doctors over the years actually over prescribed prozac....

i wouldnt say Polak was the biggest trade of all time....he was available we were interested because he suited a need so we sought him out, i was never in favour of seeking Polak but hey guess what at least im going to support the poor guy as it seems that some on here are actually wanting him to fail.....

22 years old and has talent regardless of what some might say and he might just perform and im sure these same people will still be baying for his blood....not to mention millers....

some should go and read Phantoms anology of GM which i for one totally agree with...which going by some of the posts on here will make me just as much a dud as he.

i wouldnt call him a dud, over the last couple of years the club has got P.Bowden, Simmonds and Brown. Why is about 75% of people having a go at Polak when he hasnt even played with us yet, his also only 22.

Im exited, we have a CHB to help out Joel Bowden

you could argue that no other club has has traded and drafted better than us over the past 3 years. greg miller is a genious and is worth every cent.

You know...I get frustrated at the ramblings of armchair experts...but thats what being a supporter is all about.... but I would sooner accept the thinking of someone who is privy tot he decision making and planning of the direction of our club.

As I said in another thread I thought everyone (including the pasisonate armchair experts) were demanding a KPP. Havent we done that....and what did we really lose? As Terry Wallace says on the RFC site he believes we have two first round picks now havings ecured a ready made player.

I will follow Miller and Wallace. They know where we are heading and they know the plan.

Even the most ardent or supporters would not be privy to all that is discussed at the "round table."

What an absolute dud is Greg Miller!!!
When is this goose going to realise that drafting so called ready made
players, is a recipe for disaster!!!
We have given up pick 8 and didnt I here Terry Frawley once say, we wont be trading picks under
any circumstances!
Why cant those fools follow the Hawthorn model instead of recruting band aid solutions like Johnston, Brown
and now Polak.
Going nowhere that rabble of a club with that yesterdays man running the show!!!

Anyone claiming certainty as to whether the recent trade deals RFC have made are master *smile*-ups or master strokes is a fool - but that goes without saying, when you are dealing with the perennial whingers with the glass-is-broken-and-only-I-know-how-to-fix-it mentality.

Let's face facts:

1. We've picked up a big-bodied, blooded player who is in his early 20s, has plenty of time to improve, who, from many reports, may well benefit from being away from some negative influences in his life in Perth, and has the time to become a 10-year RFC player.

2. We've traded down five spots in the first round of a coming draft where there are a number of quality players who could be selected anywhere from picks 5 to 15.

3. As noted by a number of other posters on this site, the drop in the first-round order may make no difference to who we draft if Miller and co have been able to identify that their preferred selection will be available at pcik 13 due to the needs of other clubs. If not, then I'm confident we will be able to pick up a quality youngster when our turn comes.

I can't say for sure whether things will work out as well as they may have if Richmond had not made the decisions it did, but there are positives in the deal, whereas the negatives are all hypothetical (noboday can say for sure what may have happened, we can only wait to see what the future holds).

Let's not rush to judgement this early on - as all too few have pointed out, we won't really be able to judge the quality of the Polak deal until a couple of years' time.

Oh yeah miller is a dud alright. Simmonds, Kane Johnson, Nathan Brown, Wayne Carey, Polak just some of the players he has got to the club he was at the time. I would like to see you get off ur fat... and do a better job. Oh thats right thats not possible as you dont see a good deal when its there for the taking. Pick 8 or 13 what the hell is the difference. The player we are looking at in the draft they think wont be taken till then anyhow. Well done Miller top stuff :)

Diggler I didnt have to read the whole thread!!!
We didnt trade or give up pick 8!! We swapped it for 5 places lower and a 22 KPD with loads of potential!!!
Sick of all you whingers!!!!

You're going to upset a lot of people around here Hanno, if:
* you continue to make sense.
* you are rational.
* you don't claim to have perfect fortune telling skills.
* you don't whinge like a baby if you don't get your way.

Oh, keep up the good work. Very well said.

when Geelong wanted Ottens they coughed up  first rounder and a decent player

we've swapped picks around.

what if Polak & 13 play well?
if they play well i can only assume most ferals will assume it was a great trade period for us. wheather it turns out good or bad it is the wrong way to go about rebuilding our list. any top 10 pick should be a certainty. once again miller is prepared to take a punt with our early picks for a percieved shortcut to finishing in the 8.
whats worse im sure they think just one kpp will fix our deplorable tall man problems. the answer to that will come at draft time. if i was a betting man i would bet wallace takes benjamin with pick 13. ::)

Probably been done before but. One Macquarie dictionary definition of feral is; having reverted to the wild state, as from domestication. This would seem to describe the likes of Claw and Diggler more so than what I prefer to term (as Wallace does). The Tiger Faithful! The thing forgotten about Polak is that he is 22. Sure he has made mistakes but Rosy would say that he hasn't even pulled on our great jumper yet and he is getting bashed. Give the poor bastard a go for christs sake!

Guys, I think you need another word other than ferals, It simply just doesn't fit.
Ps. Your half empty glass needs some Ice in it!
