Miller's interview on SEN this morning

well, according to a player who i shall not name, miller isnt the one pulling the strings at all. wallace, and he has even said so in the media, sees the future of the game revolved around fast moving players. speed speed speed. but the player i spoke to said that TW is obsessed with players around the "185cm mark, who play half back or wing"...

Basically, Gaelic football.

If that is correct, Wallace has far too much say in things and we are in trouble.

Team, number 190 to 199.9cm, greater than 200cm

Richmond 14,1

Geelong 16,2,
Port Adelaide 17,2,
Sydney 16,3,
West Coast 16,1

and all clubs average 15.3, 1.9
The list includes rookies and was for 2007 teams.

so there's us and the last few grand finalists

mind you we've just 4

Don't forget we sacked *smile* mid season and Knoble was gone.

I have seen this twice now and so have checked the actual weighted average of tall players over the season for each team.
Of the 22 players used on an average over the 22 games the number of players 190 to 199 cm was 6.4 for Richmond and over 200 cm was 0.0
The league average was 7.22 and 0.73
Club by club it was Adelaide 6.2,0.7, Bris 5.1,1.1, Carlton 10.6,0.1, Collingwood 7.4,1.4, Essendon 7.0,1.7, Fremantle 6.9,1.2, Geelong 7.7,1.1, Hawthorn 7.7,0.0, Melbourne 9.0,0.0 Kangaroos 5.2,1.8, Port 8.3,0.1 StKilda 7.0,0.0, Western Bulldogs 7.3,0.5, West Coast 6.8,0.9.
I cant see a pattern. I think with all stats its better if you have the better players rather than the taller, shorter, older or younger.................
You have to have the best at getting it and keeping it and scoring goals.

Did any one hear the Nathan Buckley tribute Eddie put on, how it was over the top, someone did a Ray Hall one, it was the funniest thing i have ever heard.

Has someone got it.
