Was impressed with Allen too.  When was he drafted?

Was on Brisbane's rookie list last season and was promoted.

Very true Funtime, you did say that but you were definite in saying that of thoose players Clark was your least preferred. I am stoked that we got Cleve at 24 but what was the plan if he had gone? There were no other quality talls left really. Can you imagine if we'd picked Clark and Hughes? Forward line problem solved for 10 years easily!

Good in theory, however we wouldnt have got Clark and Hughes as Hughes would have been snapped up at pick 9.

As it was, Brisbane were extremely close to taking Hughes at 9 anyway. They finally came up with Clark and crossed their fingers on Hughes somehow slipping through to 25 - as they say, the rest is history.

Draga,

I can also confirm this as 100% true!

Interesting interviews with Dempsey (and a few others being mentioned here) on Fox Footy's Draft Camp Special last night. Anyone else catch it ?
Nope fill us in.Word by word Redastair ;D

Dempsey made mention of the fact that he found it difficult moving from Cairns to Brisbane to play with Morningside. Missed his family, friends etc. At one point he said that when he first moved down to Brisbane he was just looking to "get it over with as quick as possible." Then he went on to say that he settled in at Morningside and that he would be happy to be drafted by any AFL club. Still, he seemed a very homely sort of young kid.

Beau Dowler came across as a very down to earth kid as did Drum and Ellis. Ellis went so far as to say it would be great to be drafted but you are a "nobody" unless you actually get to play senior AFL football. When they were doing the 3klm run, Riscbieth crosses the line and Dowler has a lap to go. You can see Dowler is knackered, but he still finds the energy to yell "Well done Rischi" to Rischbieth as Rischbieth crosses the line.

Other interviews with Dale Thomas, Marc Murphy, Nathan Jones, the coaches etc. and heaps of footage of the kids going through the drills.

Interesting: does anyone have the registration list for the Draft Camp ? When they were interviewing Drum, GM and Pete were in the background having an earnest meeting/discussion with no. 63. He had his back turned so I couldn't make out who it was.
