Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Think it's an off day tomorrow with Beckett going Wednesday.

Schilling looked terrible apparently.

If that's the case, then no contract extension for Schilling would have Epstein looking out of the corner of his eye over at Henry and Luch. Time will tell though. Long way to go. Schilling is a huge competitor.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Giving up three runs in the first isnt the best way to get back to the WS.
Old man Rogers is out for ages with a blood clot removed from his arm.
Is the wonderkid from Japan still set to face Ichiro with his first pitch in the majors?
Shame about Curt, i'm a fan of him.
He might be back at Pawtucket if he doesnt get his head together.

Thanks for the offer Pesto, Dad has a conference in the States soon so i'm getting him to bring back a shyteload of gear.

I'm stoked baseball is back. :clap

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Good to see the Giants get flogged on the first day.

Looks like its going to be a long, long season in a number of sports for me.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

What sort of standard of behavior is expected when watching the baseball live?

If you can top Richmond,Fulham and the Cubs and Blackhawks for ineptness then you'll need a lobotomy for the frustration.

Get naked pesticide...its the only way to go at the ballpark.

You always get the jumbo sized beer and should consume at least 10 of them as a minimum, you always get a heap of peanuts and a few hot dogs, you always yell abuse at the opposition starting pitcher and their best swinger, and you always thank the security guards for not beating you up when they throw you out in the bottom of the 7th (....IF they don't beat you up.)

I have yet to finish reading all my annual MLB magazines Duckman. I have been distracted by SOSH’s 2007 Red Sox Annual which I received in the mail last week. I'll have a crack (sounding like Splud there) in the next day or two.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Here is MY tip. Cubs WILL make the playoffs with just a bit of luck. Not the luck is something we generally come across in spades mind you.
Disco, time to change the title of the thread I think- maybe 'The Year of the Cubs' or '2007 - World Series Wrigley'

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

aaah hahahaha. Let's see if they can get through April with their chances intact first shall we? ;D

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

What will Dice-K give us tomorrow Duckman ? More importantly, what will he give us for the season do you think ?

Give us a win-loss and ERA projection.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

I'll go conservative and say 15-9, 4.2, but if the hype can be believed he should be considerably better than that, maybe 18-6, 3.5.

Looking forward to watching tomorrow either way.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

I haven't seen any Sox pitcher control all his pitches (and he has alot) like that for a long time, let alone do it during their first start in MLB. Schilling maybe, but it looked more like Pedro-esque control to me. Man I wish I could watch these games on my TV and not a little media player window.
