MLB 2012 - Giants Win!!

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

About to go home shortly and watch it on the HDD.

Hey Ducker, do you ever hey the Baseball America magazines, the ones with all the prospect scouting and minor league stuff ?

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Nah, don't buy any magazines or papers now. Read alot of minor league stuff on the net though. Like footy, I enjoy the kids coming up as much as the real thing.

King Felix was magnificent today, really showed why he's been so highly rated for a while now, so no shame in that loss. Get 'em tomorrow hopefully.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

lol. The asian reporter on NESN, despite not being that great, has a certain charm too.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Something I'm liking about the Red Sox this year Duckman. A couple of question marks, but if they're answered, things should be ok.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

I'll like it a bit better when Varitek and Crisp look remotely capable of hitting good pitching.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

I think the 12yo will put up perfectly acceptable numbers for a guy from the farm on minimum wage at a low production position. It's when you give up the likes of Shoppach, Marte and Meredith (in a roundabout way) for a guy like Crisp that you really hope he starts to perform. FWIW, I'm not writing him off at all, just that I'll feel alot better when he even shows signs that he can turn it around. Varitek is even worse right now.

I know trading prospects for real MLB talent is what big teams do, but I'd loved to have seen this team right now minus Crisp and Beckett with the guys mentioned above and Anibal and Hanley still here.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Yeah, the 12yo still has a lot to do Ducksie imo. I saw him live last year and along with the rest of his time in the bigs, he looked very much overwhelmed. Time will tell. Only just getting experience.

As for Tek, he's still the spiritual leader to some degree and he handles the pitchers very well still too.

I think they've got great balance nowadays between developing and keeping good farm prospects and trading one or two away for established talent.don't mind the way they're balancing things now. We still have a petty good group of up and comers Ducks.

Supposedly an absolute gem by King Felix.

A no-no into the eighth, that ended as a one hit shut-out.

This guys awesome, I hope there's a replay tonight.

ESPN staff rate Fenway as number 1. Then, in a poll of readers, Wrigley just came in over Fenway. So its very, very close.

Both are great but naturally, Fenway for mine. :hihi

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

This one done by MLB ranked Wrigley at 4th and Fenway at 11th :o

They did however honour the Cubs fans with the only side ranking 10 out of 10 for Fan power.

They rate food, location ect ect in this one too, which may be getting a bit OTT.

Im certainly not suprised at the bottom 3 as i've visited all of them.
They are right, shithouse all 3 of them.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

*smile* Cubs....lost 4 and a row and blew a 5 run lead.

God doesn't do Richmond or Cubs fans any favours. :'(

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Make that 5 in a row now Bubbles.

Geez the snow and bad weather is disrupting things at the moment. Very frustrating.

Re: MLB 2007 - Say NO to Clemens

Didn't the cubs win yesterday?

Marco Scutaro is my favourite player today. :)

Yeah, you might be right. I'm getting confused with who's getting postponed and who isnt - there's so many cancellations at the moment. I thought they got pp'ed yesterday and then got beaten 1 zip v Cinci today.
