PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Wet windy cold thats how it was this morning
Boys had trained for about 2 hrs when I left and were starting some more running.
Good news to start the day was Bling was on the track but only paticapated with main group for the warm up,which did include short sprints.Official word is just tight in lower back so due to his history the are being extra cautious he did a hell of a lot of running and a little kicking.
Started with a of bit of kick to kick then a bit of running for the warm up.
1st drill players hats 20 meters apart forming a square players had to kick from hat to hat with 2 players in the middle applying the pressure to turn ball over when mistake made player would become a defender this was done in 3 groups very good standard.
2nd drill handball excersize group at each end with 3 defenders in middle 3 players at a time have to take the ball through to other end.
3rd drill The one with 4 groups in middle leading out to the 5 groups arond the ground a circle work type drill.
4th drill and 5th drills players split into 2 groups one group similar to hanball drill but kicking next group back pocket would chip over to full back then full back would kick to HBF who would then hanball to BP who had ran on then would kick to HFF who would turn and kick goal from 50 this was done very well, then the groups swapped.
Next drill once again 2 diffrent groups first group 3 players share the ball while getting around 2 negative players on flank then deliver to forwards on lead.Other group the same but hitting a stationary target.
For mine I thought Mcguane,Polo and JON trained as well as ive seen them.
Danny Meyer is an absoulute pleasure to watch train.
Browny and Staf very vocal today,Kids with queries on the kicking have pretty much all taken steps in the right direction
