It may be dark, cloudy and raining outside right now, but what a great day it is never the less !!!
To my immediate left at work I have a big mouthed Scumwood supporter who was giving it to me all last week about how Scumwood were gonna bend us over. His last words before leaving the office on Friday were: “You won’t get within 10 goals of us and Richo is such a dud he’ll be lucky to get a full game. Wakelin or Presti will towel him up so bad. You blokes are xxxhouse.” How much do you reckon I’m pouring it on him now ? ! He’s about to have a nervous breakdown ! !
Just opposite me is a young, loud, boisterous English chick. For 3 weeks she has been rambling on about how good the England team is. I’ve been telling her that they aren’t anywhere near as good as she thinks, they are historical chokers, and they will choke again. Before the World Cup, I told her to get her money on France and that at the very least they would go further than England. The first week of the World Cup she was spouting off like there was no tomorrow. I told her she was gonna regret it. She has not turned up for work today !!
Just next to the aforementioned chick is a Geescum supporter who, at the start of the year was talking about premierships and predicting we’d finish last. I have 2 other Geescum friends who were doing the same thing. “Oh, the Abletts are superstars…Oooooh Johnson is the best player in the league…..Oooooh Ottens is gonna prove you duds wrong..” and on and on and on. I told all 3 of them they wouldn’t even make the Grand Final let alone win one. And now….they don’t even look like making the finals !! Haaaaargh haaaaargh haaaaaargh !!!
And last but not least, I have a “friend” who without doubt is the biggest loud mouth of all time when it comes to football. I’ve endured years of crap from him. And gee…guess what ? He’s an Essenscum supporter !!! Harrrrrgh haaaaargh…. Beyond telling me at the start of the season about how bad Richmond were, how Wallace was an overrated coach etc. etc., he was claiming Essenscum would not just make the top 4, but do it easy !!! You’d think he’d shut up, but he’s now telling me how we’re “playing above ourselves” and that Essenscum have been “unlucky”, and that they’re re-building and are gonna be better than Richmond blah blah….But wait…it gets better !!! For the second straight year this loud mouth doofus is gonna hand over $100 to me because he’s lost a bet with me regarding the Bummers making the finals. Suuuuuuckerrrrrrrrr !!!
I never spout off about Richmond before a game. I learnt my lesson years ago re: that. We’re too unreliable. But geez, when opposition supporters set themselves up with their own presumptive bragging, its great when they come a cropper and you can turn the tables on them !
