moore has he bulked up

He is caught out a bit by being an "in-betweener." He is not quite tall enough to play as a Key position player at AFL but everything else about his game suggests that this should be his natural role.

He has played a couple of good games on smaller forwards who play tall. He had an esp good game against Adem Yze last year but he needs to get a long run in the seniors or he will not last long enough to get a new contract.

I hope he gets there because there are plenty of these players that cause havoc in the AFL. It would be good if we had someone to match up against Didak, Matty Robbins, Yze or Robertson, Chick, Nick Davis, Shannon Grant etc.

He would be a great match-up for Chick, as long as he can stick right with him as he weaves his way through traffic on the way from the bar to the dance floor!!

I saw him at training a week or 2 ago on one of those stinking hot days. At around 9am it was close to 30 degrees. 3-4 of the guys were doing training without tops on. I was surprised at how big Kel is through the chest and arms but there is not one ounce of fat on him. He would lucky to hit 90kg so he wont be able to play on big forwards.

lrt it be known i have officially given up on him.i sort of gave up on him when i started this thread. for me 2007 was his last chance. 24yo who has managed what 20 games. 24yo who is still to take the vfl apart. he is another case of the club hanging on in hope to a player for to long.
we have to learn to cut our losses and run much quicker than we do.

Yeah. Got to agree on this one Claw. Won't lose any sleep over Kel's performances this year. If he get's a game good on him, if he doesn't pht.

Well, I hope Archie had spf +50 on then.

Really need to look at the playing list again and check ages and games played.
Time's getting away. I, for one have been patiently waiting for some of these blokes to come on, but 24 years old for 20 games.
Geez, you're right, some are gonna get a dose of reality this year
pity there's no Mid-Season Draft.

Quite funny to read this and the other thread about Moore.

The same things being said over and over again.

Almost like the Krakouer thread.

White is the new Black and

Kel Moore is the new Krak.

Let's hope TW is not the new Spud.

Neat skills :o Geez are we talking about the same bloke? Neat skills and he stuggles to get a game...........nah don't buy that. If his skills were so neat, he'd be playing regularly.

Gone!

If you haven't got something decent to say then don't say anything at all.

I'm glad I was "brought up" right. :-\

He has very nice skills. He likes to have a few shots at goal from 50 in warm up - rarely misses, good hands (especially the gloved one :)), not bad vision, very good athleticism and pace.

To be honest, I usesd to get the cold chills down my back every time Kel got a game as he is the kiss of death. Doubt he has played in a handful of wins in his 20 odd games. I particulalry remember a sad night in 2005 against the doggies when he personally cost us 5 goals in the third. First two he had Simmonds alone in the square and he kicked OOF (under slight pressure) from 50. Dogs rebounded and scored goal. Second Lids was running into open goal 15 metres out and Kel gives away free in pack (might just have been dodgy ump). No goal to tiges Dogs rebound and goal. Finally Kel was invilved in the infamous stuff up at CHF and doggies (Boyd and another I think) run the ball all the way into goal with Joel 20 metres behind all the way (we had no player behind our half forward line??????)

In those days I was a Jay for FF and dirty he was out of the side because of a TW plan to make him hungry.

Kel worries too much about his mistakes though. He needs to watch Kingy play who always plays in the moment and attacks the ball and the man with single mindedness.

If Kel gets that into his game he will be a very good player and good to watch. Has a great leap and good pace - Could really play anywhere if he gets his head right. I am gambling on our psych squad to make a difference, but gee the waiting line will be pretty long at Punt Road.

people on big footy are saying kel moore has bulked up a lot this preseason. ive been pretty negative this preseason but a positive from me is moore. i think this guy has a good upside but at 23 he will need to go to another level this yr to keep his spot.
he has pace has sound skills is good below his knees and takes a good grab. i dont think he will be a kpp because of height but i can see him doing kellaways job only quicker cleaner and more skilful. given the chance he will hopefully run the lines. my only critique is he doesnt and hasnt found much of the ball another has been his size both height and bulk. anyway can anyone say how much he has bulked up.

Yep i saw him at punt road and his upper body is huge especially his arms and shoulders.

I agree with a lot of what uve said here claw, i think he will turn the corner this year how much? well thats anyones guess, its about time one would think.
His main competition IMO will be against muscles and casserly, they might all have stints in the team to see who excels...I like the look of casserly and hope he to stakes a claim for a regular possie.
