Moore & McGuane

As long as they give these two kids plenty of AFL game time down back - we will see if they are any good. I think they can both make it.

agree McGuane has now earnt his spot - God he tries hard all day - he will learn from playing on some good forwards.

He doesn't leave much left out there.

good game today.

And BOY what a Mark.

....and get some personal advice from Whitnall and Billy Nicolls................EAT FAT !!! :hihi

Good game and have liked his endevour and reading of the play all year. Still needs to work on his kicking a little though.

McGuane had a pretty solid game - sure, Hansen got a couple of goals at the end but he was right on him and those passes were lace side out. I certainly didn't see him falling on one knee and losing his man like Gaspar.

Keep it up Lukey boy!

Fabulous mark and good defensive pressure when the ball went up forward. Keep working on your kicking, cause you seem to be ready to stick fat in the 22.

Too right Disco. As our turnovers (and clangers) still kills us we need to improve his kicking and quickly.

Or picking up the ball with no pressure and literally 'handing' it over to Judd by guess who.

was that on the wing TF? that was appalling if it was the one I saw....

Luke just needs to put on a bit more weight and he can become a really good player for us. He has good pace and could become the Full Back we are crying out for in years to come. Keep up the good work son!

Yep..........I wanted to commit suicide.

McGuane still raw but his good tools to work with.

Leaps high, fearless in the air and when he goes he goes hard and fast to the contest. We don't have too many who are fearless in there attack on a pack.

Kicking is not super and at times his kicking is far too lofted and hangs in the air making his temamates wait and wide open. Hansen got the better off him today but there are positives to work with. Didn't get beat one on one, got beat on the lead. Put this down to lack of natural football IQ while the guy he was playing on has definite football smarts and experience on his side.

Needs another 10-12 kgs on his frame but the you can see the improvement from the start of the year. Good sign to see a player getting better after four rounds and makes you wonder how far progressed he will be years end.

Yeah Luke was good and should get the chance to cement a spot but his disposal has a bit of the gaspars about him. Also Hansen got three in the last and I think Mguane was on Hunter when he got that unopposed mark in forward 50.

However Luke made a contest and had good closing speed even when beaten most times and of course one goal was from a very dodgy free - What can a defender do if caught behind? Not much if he has a tiger jumper on.

Was he covering for someone at the time, Robert? I wasn't sure. Was there an interchange?

If he was on Hunter he was totally lost for the contest. Doesn't happen to him that often given that he's a six-gamer or whatever. Lets his opponent gets goal side of him a bit to often after missing the ball.

I felt a bit sorry for the lad in the last quarter. Hansen, who is no great shakes overhead was just too tall for McGuane a couple of times.

The last spoiling attempt, where he rotated in the air to get his right in for a tip spoil was a worry but he still got altitude.

He's one that could go either way IMO but he's got something. I'd always worry about a bloke that size in a key slot.
