So,after the thrill of richo,s day out,I thought I,d remininsce(hope that spellings right)about other golden moments My personal couple of favorites.....
1979......last game of home and away season,I was at whingy hill to watch Michael Roach kick a lazy 7 against the bombers!
Then....1982 another Tigers-Bombers game at the M.C.G....(the last game I attended in Victoria)
90,000 plus crowd at the G to witness a very hotly contested game...then....BANG!
Richmond ,god bless them,kicked 10 goals in the last quarter to just blow them outta punt road!Pure gold it was!I remember Robbie Wiley cutting loose,Dale Weightman in everything,Rainsy owned the centre corridor,and ....It still brings a tear of joy to me...Roachy launching the hugest drop punt ive ever seen or will see in my life 70 metres for goal!It seemed to take an eternity to get there,but I remember like it was yesterday,the closer the ball got to the big sticks,you could feel the tsunami like crescendo of tiger voices cheering roaring as it went through...man,that was a better rush than any drink or drug on this earth!Cheers!
