No question there were hundreds of other instances that cost teams goals, but Leysy agrees with the poster that said it was Mortons mentality at the time that was the issue.
He needed to settle, waste a little time then try & spot a target in the forward 50. The best way to ice the clock is to have a set shot at goal. Umpires are far more leniant than with kicks around the ground. Playing straight on, trying to blast the ball indiscriminantly forward whist off balance in the wet wasn't the team play.
Anyway, he's young enough to learn. Hopefully he will.
