Watched 3.10 to Yuma last night. Very disappointing, especially the final 15-20 minutes which seemed to make no sense at all.

fair dinkum jimbob?I thought it was a bit of gem as far as westerns go.

Without giving it away to those who haven't seen it, the final act made no sense at all. In fact, Rusty had numerous opportunites to escape from about half way through the film and if his character had held true, he would have.

Don't you think Rusty got "won over" in the end by his captures honesty?

It's a while since i saw it but it seemed consistent to me.

I think that was the premise but no way did it ring true or even possible.

Im with you on this Evo, it was well done.

Watched Vantage Point last night.

B Grade cast, Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Forest Whitaker. The attempted assassination of the president is told from several different perspectives. Not bad bit like a 2 90 minute epoides of 24. Few plot flaws with continunity and things like that but not bad.

The lead up and execution of the final sequence (IMO anyway)

It pains me to disagree with such a learned poster but to me none of it rang true or even remotely possible.

Not you too NYT. Ben Wade is as mad and bad as they come then all of a sudden risks his life because a down and out rancher wants to connect with his son. Please.

i have not seen the movie but most critics agree with jb, they rip the last 15 mins of the movie to shreds on nearly every review ive read

C'mon Lids, movie critics should review all types of films, not just your Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias types that you prefer.

The worst that can said is that it was somewhat cheesy.(But thats Holliwood for ya)

It's not inconsistent though.

Dissapointing that a plot had to be explained to you.I'm starting to wonder if Redford was right all along.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I know you like everything very simple and straightforward which is why your favourite viewing of any given week is The Funniest Home Video Show.
