I reckon Joel would make a great thespian,he can easily go from hero to villain without so much as a blink of an eye lid. Also he doesnt seem too interested in the ho hum games but lifts for the academy award performances

I am looking in Evo's and ToO's direction when I tell people to watch Mad Men. Great new series in the states.

Set in the 1950's advertising industry it is fantastic, so good a refelection on that time. Only watch two ep's and I am hooked.

Sounds good Scooper. Reckon that would be right up my alley. :thumbsup

Got a heap of other stuff to get through before I get to that though.
Another trip to the markets is in order..

Yeah, I am off to the beaches of Phuket in three weeks so I am slowly making a list of what I need.

I need my ten days of just doing nothing on a beach living like a King. Any tips on Phuket ToO?

Put on suncream, don't drink too much and keep an eye out for the ladyboys. ;D :hula

Seriously. Not really.
Only been there once 10 years ago Scooper, well before my stint in Bangers. Haven't had the desire to go back as there are closer places just as nice.

Hard to go wrong with the beaches of Thailand but it depends what hotel you are staying a little.

Krabi is beautiful and is my place of choice.

Went a bit art-house and saw female agents the other night. French film about female resistance fighters during WW2. Obviously sub-titled but not too bad...a little predictable in parts but overall watchable. Director had a good opportunity for a couple of good plot twists but alas missed them.

Have U Guys heard about ''Transformers Revenge Of The fallen?''

OMG :clap :clap :clap :upside :beer :star :partyfest :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow :boldyellow

I watched Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. Pretty disappointing compared to White castle. This sequel seemed so much more smutty than the original (and that is saying something!)

Rosy, I saw a film yesterday that i think you would like. It was a MIFF event at the Forum and the film I saw was the CNSY doco called Deja Vu-The Freedom of Speech Tour (or something like that)

It was about the Grandads' tour in 2006 and i expected it to be a bit of an overblown concert film but it was a remarkable anti-war film. It sort of started off about CSNY but then grew a life of its own as the tour continued. The music was great, but the pieces with the veterans and the families of the veterans were very very moving. Some of the footage out of Iraq was terribly sad but important to see.

I reckon you would really get into this one, Rosy.

Yeah it's good isn't it? It's hard to believe that is only 40-50 years ago. It almost looks like today but the thinking and common sense of the time may as well been 200 years ago. You don't understand how much things have changed until you watch a show like that. And how come modern day PA's aren't so accomdating?

If you want another one that you and Mrs Evo can enjoy get on Dexter Series 1. I'll throw TV shows your way and you can throw stcok tips my way. Sounds fair. :hihi

I think I'd like it too. Is it still screening? Where is The Forum? Is it likely to be released on DVD?

I think its on only one more time during the festival, or it might have finished. You can check their website i guess. I think it might go to general release after this.

The Forum is on corner of Flinders st and Russell st. Grand old theatre. I saw You am I there some time ago but thats another story.
