The Bank Job - a good old fashioned bank robbery movie, based on some true events in the '70's. Had the feel of a film from the 70s.

Suprised - it was a pretty good DVD movie 4/5.

Ta for the tip NYT.
Not a bad little time waster at all. Hard to believe it was based on a true story.

Neil Young, greatest rock artist of all time. I'm hanging out for that film so I hope it does get a wider release. Living With War was the album that rekindled Young's passion and you only have to get the bootlegs of his recent tours to know that he's maintained that passion despite now being 62.

Superb call on the Mad Men,Scooper.I hadn'tt heard of it before u mentioned.

Watched the first 3 episodes of series 1 and am addicted.Mrs Evo likes it too, which is a bonus.

Love your work.

Last night I watched the first episode of S2, needless to say they maintain the quality.

Caught 'Hancock' at the weekend. Enjoyed it, despite some of the negative reviews. Want to see 'The Bank JOb' & 'The Square' if I get the chance.

Certainly ToO. I dug around to check the validity. The rumor is that 2 of the writers were the robbers, and the Princess is princess Margaret.. Other bit of fact - Michael X was bailed out by John Lennon. No wonder the CIA hated JL.

Interesting stuff. :afro
I like the way the flick was shot too. Very old school.

The first flick was great whammy, going to be hard to top it given there won't be so much of a 'wow' factor.
maybe. Might be better!

I just wanna see it

Saw "Married Life", last night.

Very much below expectations. No twists or turns. Very ordinary.

Arrived home to watch "Paris When It Sizzles" (1964) on ABC2. Starring Audrey Hepburn, it's one of the great off mainstreet films with cameos from some great actors including a very "camp" Noel Coward.

Forget "Married Life", but if you do get an opportunity to watch "Paris When It Sizzles", probably on Video/CD, take it.

While i was away in Thailand training i was able to catch quite a few movies.

Dark Knight - unbelievable. Heath great, Bale the true Batman. There will definately be a sequel. Heath's death even more sad. His role as the joker quite amazing and sinister.

Saw the new Mummy movie, Journey to the centre of the earth, Hancock. I was a bit dissapointed in Wil smith's movie but still gave it a pass. The same goes for the rest. Still worth seeing and making your own judgement calls. Enjoy.

Last weekend i went and saw the "visitor"at the classic cinema in Elsternwick. It tells the story of a widower college professor who visits his appartment in new york only to find two illegal immigrants living in it.
I was in two minds about seing this ,however I'm glad i did as i would rank it as one of the better movies I've seen this year..........I think both Newspapers here gave it at least 4 stars out 5

Been getting into The Wire of late, pretty sure a few of the lads here had recommended it.

Excellent program.

It's good isn't it Missy? I have just about finished season 2. So still have a few seasons to go.
Everything about the production is excellent but it's the great scripts that do it for me.
