Surely Richmond are entitled to ask why Brown got less than what McGuane did. Just proves there is an anti-Richmond feeling within the AFL.

Surely someone will bring up the incosistency of the MRP in regards to C Brown's 2 week suspension and Luke Mc guanne's 3 weeks >:(.

Maybe my mate Caro will say something tonight on FC ::)

Mark Robinson did via twitter. They classified the hit as reckless and not deliberate.

How the hell is a clear back jab elbow to the face not deliberate? I am seeing a trend here. If you back elbow or back kick ala Waite, you can get a discount for your action.

According to Patrick Smith the MRP is constrained by the too rigid points system and 2 weeks is the most Brown could expect.

The whole thing needs an independant review (should happen at a regular interval anyway). The clubs should start agitating for one, and insist that they be able to provide submissions, including presenting cases where they believe inconsistent decisions have been made. The review outcome and the AFL response and any reform commitments should be presented to the clubs.

That would be the professional approach.

Unfortunately we know the AFL is far too concerned with it's reputation and keeping control of every aspect of the game to risk the outcome of an independant review. The clubs too seem too cowed by the AFL to do anything to challenge the Adolf regime.

If he played for anyone other than the suns at the moment, he would have got at least 6 weeks. That elbow was easily worth 4 if Rance got 4 and McGuane 3. Both Rance and McGuane would have been legal bumps if not for the head high contact, where as Browns was straight out elbow. As someone said if it had been Barry Hall he would have been run out of the game.

The AFL and MRP simply dont have the guts to suspend him for any longer than they have too as he is an important part of the SUNs in the infancy. They know they have to make the SUNS work.

No doubt this is the case Gus. All is not equal.

Did anyone see Franklins hit on Astbury late in the game?
A free was paid for high contact, and to me it looked like he hit him with his forearm. Nothing in it?

on field is quite the opposite actually, he has been suspended plenty. Off field is another story :-X

Funny and ironic statement seeing Lukey lost us the game against Hawks last year.

We got a big bonus this week from the MRP tipping out Luke and Cyril.

Tiges by a few.

Ah well.

Thought the Hall one was touch and go, but the elbow to the head should have been a minimum of 4 weeks. How that could be 2 weeks is beyond explanation.
