I hope Brown didn't get penalisd for his bump on barry. Not even a fee kick. Jack Dyer would never play a game under the current system

He got 2 weeks for it.

He should have got at least four weeks for the cheap shot so all good in the end.

Anyone hear A.Anderson trying to justify the Brown decision?
We'll review it at year's end etc..pfft.

Anderson was implying it should have been rated as deliberate rather than reckless because it was off the ball. According to Patrick Smith, that wouldn't have affected the lenght of the suspension. Does anyone know whether he's right?

I hear on another radio station that he would have got three but could still reduce to two with an early plea so the answer is possibly yes and no. The carry over points would be different as well.

Ta - so not a dramatically different result.

Not much of a response from the AFL to a widely perceived problem with the system.

I find it astounding that reckless and largely accidental acts are seemingly so closely comparable with deliberate ones.

Agreed, defies any logic really.

Ricky Nixon should put a resume in to the MRP. They need another straight thinking brain on the panel to keep their current standard going.

The AFL, a haven for megalomaniacs and society's elite.

THEY may think they are elite but only the $2 hookers of the press treat them as such

If I hear the AFL apologising and saying"we made a mistake" I'll SPEW.

They know what they're doing.

Big coverup imho.

A very interesting one coming up this week, involving Nick DaSanto bumping a Brisbane player, lets see what he gets...
a reprimand???

Cannot beleive the crap that went on agaisnt the lions only the rance - raines incident was reveiwed would of thought the high contact against push up when he kicked that goal would of come up also they need a Umpire Reveiw panel lol when nahas kicked that goal and 3 secs later got pushed in the back should of been a free kick some media said the umpires left it cause we were 5 goals up thats rubbish rules are rules and 6 games into season we dont know how close we will get into the eight and ill be fuming if that free could of made a diffrence

The high contact against King was an attempted tackle that he slipped, why would that be reviewed?

Reckon you're clutching at straws with this. Thought the game was very well umpired, Kingy should have got a free for the tackle he laid in the 3rd (we are used to this now) but we got the goal through Nahas anyway.

i dont think i am, think about it if that was kingy laying the takle with someone going for goal we all know what would of happend and my point im getting at is free kicks should be given that arnt we have just been lucky we have scored and as you said kingys tackle in 3rd proves my point we are not getting a fair deal IMO, against the roos and lions i lost count how many times i shouted out we dont need free kicks to kick goals yet down the other end the blew the whistle for soft free kicks
