Let's see what they do with Pickett.
Should be up on 2 charges.
Cripps to the nose. Bump.
Then striking on McGovern.
If it was our Pickett it would have been mentioned every 5 minutes.
Don't think it got mentioned too much.
(although I was channel surfing to The Storm on 9)
Pathetic double standards.
Should get a good delay going into next year.
He should be back for the Anzac eve game

Cripps and Weitering

Allowing club doctors to self regulate concussion is akin to giving Essendon the keys to the dangerous drug cabinet.

The silence from the Whateley's of the world will be deafening on this.

If AFL is serious about headknocks both should be forced to sit out next week

And what did Marlion get for bumping the Hawthorn player who bounced straight up and continued playing?
That’s right, it was 2 weeks for “potential to cause injury”
It’s unfathomable how Kosi chooses to bump off the ball, leaves the ground, breaks Cripps nose and gets only 1 week.
Doesn’t pass the pub test.

Against Bulldogs, does a flying bump against smith. Against blues, off the ground and gets Cripps high. Both just this season. Both caused damage yet he gets just slightly more weeks combined than most this year that were far less severe.
Both times his feet left the ground and he CHOSE to bump. Well done MRP for sending a clear message…………..not!!!

I suspect that this 1week decision was based upon not heaping insult onto (Melbourne 's/Brayshaw 's) " no weeks" injury. Imagine the furore if they had given him 3 weeks?

The trouble with the AFL is they are always trying to outsmart the PR in the room, but it ends up looking so clumsy.

There are obviously some swear words that would better describe their efforts.

AFLHQ and integrity in the same sentence. There’s something you don’t see every day
Actually, that’s something you don’t see……ever
Of course you do. I posted it this morning n you saw it a little bit later, you were even so impressed by my ability to rationally combine the two into one sentence that you commented on my deft articulation of such an unlikely occurrence.

There has been one rule for the Tigers and another for everyone else.

Overnight Rugby Union world cup match Portugal/ Wales Portugal's winger Vincent Pinto takes high mark but in doing so his foot comes in contact with Wales Josh Adams chin. Adams goes to ground. Ref stops play incident referred to the Bunker who calls it a foul . Ref gives Pinto Yellow card, Bunker over rules that & issues Red. At hearing Pinto gets 3 game penalty. Adams not knocked out but continues to play. When you compare the incident with Maynard/Brayshaw Rugby Union got it right AFl well got it horrible wrong. Why ,because who pulls the strings at the top. They have no balls tippy toe through all dramas. Just look at the Fagan/Clarko lot with Racial finger pointed at them. Absolutely pathetic & rate alongside Alan Joyce for pulling hthe wool over all & sundry.

Bump. I'm sure we'll be seeing this thread more often this season. Maybe Kelts will be the next Marlion Pickett scapegoat for this AholeFL.

How's Powell-Pepper going? 3 weeks min?
