In 2009 we will have schulz, Moore, polak, KIng, foley, hartigan Howat, jackson, raines, tambling, meyer, pattison, polo, mcguane thursfield, Deledio, hughes, casserley graeme, white and peterson (21 players all between 22-25)

i know that some probably won't get to 2009, but most will.
If ten of those make it I'll be rapt.

I'd take five at the moment...

there is no way hawthorn can take 5 of those 8)

Things will all turn round when Simmo and Browny return!!

The form of experienced players Krakouer, P.Bowden, Pettifer, Tuck, Hyde, Johnson and Schulz.

Wise words.

On the upside they let us smoking heathens act almost human and get a pass out rather than herding us into shearing pens last week.

Whats next?Hot chicks in the Cougar?

Good point.whats happened to the standard of talent at the Cougar.
Its slipped ever since that old Collins took over the joint. His standards of the fairer sex obviously aren't as high as previously.

There used to be some nice types squeezed into those cougar shirts a couple of years back.

The worst thing? Failing to win a game in ten rounds; the drop off in some of our senior players.

But apart from that--and 10 losses are depressing--I'm pretty happy. Guys, this is not 2004--bottom of the ladder, after 14 miserable, pathetic surrenders, with no hope except that the draft would deliver. Melbourne are in far more trouble, long term, than we are.

One of the best things this year is our depth. Coburg are doing really well, and Wallace has a choice when it comes to selection night. Kids (and others) who aren't up to it get a run in the burgs and others who have performed get a chance. We'll see the benefits of all this next year.

We've got some great new talent--King & Edwards (maybe); while Jackson, Pattison and most spectacularly of all, Foley have really gone ahead. The only reason Foley doesn't have an elite label on him at the moment is that he hasn't done it for three seasons yet. But don't tell me that opposition coaches aren't poring over videos of the clearance king.

All our other young players are still in the development stage; getting bigger, getting experience.

My biggest dissapointment this season is Terry Wallace's coaching and his and the match commitees continual stuff ups at selection time.

My opinion of Terry's coaching ability has declined heavily to a point that I dont think he knows what he's doing anymore.

The other dissapointments has been some of the young kids: Lets not mince words, Richard Tambling, disapointing, Jarrad Oakleigh-Nicholls, disapointing, Raines, disapointing, Polo, disapointing, Meyer, disapointing - they haven't come on as much as we'd like.

The other dissapointment has been that the worst senior group of players ever assembled led by the worst captain to ever wear our jumper have been worst then ever.

One more dissapointment has been injuries to my man Mark Coughlan, my other man Nathan Brown, and my other man lol Troy Simmonds. Put these three in all year we'd be higher, maybe would of beat Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Brisbane, Sydney, West Coast and Adelaide to be 7-3!!! We'll I can dream hey!

Obviously you missed 2004.

Winter seem that bit colder without a win locked in yet. This is a tough year for supporters, but how can this be affecting the players? When do we get the winning culture back into the yellow and black? Next year's not really a clean slate between the ears if you know what I mean

Our lack of list depth has been the most ordinary thing. We lose some top liners (3 of the top 6 maybe in Cogs, Simmo and Browny) and there's not enough on the list in terms of talent or heart to make up for it

I see alot in Tambo and Lids, but just want to see them come out and dominate, make the opposiiton look silly. I guess I'm just a bit impatient

Lack of big scores is really annoying, I'd love to see a 5+ bag from Cleve or Sarge soon. We need someone to blow away a game and it doesn't look like happening too soon

Pedestrian midfield is killing us

Bottom 6 spots in the team is a merry-go-round

YES! They just don't seem to be up to it the way other clubs' young players are! And I know a lot of supporters who believe this simply won't change...

I'm happy to take it easy on the kids. It's pretty hard for them when the players they look up to at the club aren't performing.

I agree with Rainsy that the biggest disappointment has been the poor efforts of the experienced players. All except for Richo, Newman and Joel Bowden have let the side down one way or another which is a real shame.

On a positive note, the absence through injury of some of our stars and experienced players has at least allowed players like Patto, Edwards, McGuane, Jackson, Cleve, Riewoldt and JON to get some valuable games under their belt that they wouldn't have received otherwise. I believe that this will hold them in good stead for the future as Collingwood and Essendon are showing this year.

Seeing posts by Turbo, that's the biggest disappointment for me.

I blink and try to make them go away, but they keep coming back.

Yeah I know, I've tried the "expose him as Turbo hawk" route but he just doesn't get the message!!!

Maybe if we ignore him he will go away :hihi

One disappointment for the year so far is that Turbo hawk doesn't have the guts to admit that he is in fact a hawks supporter(they're travelling Ok turbo!) as there is no way he is a Richmond supporter (even if, by some miracle he once was)

The fact that so many chronic underachievers are still getting games in front of the juniors.
