Are you just plain.......dumb. Surely, there is no other way to put it. I will continue to point this out until you put the players in the best positions that suit their abilities. You could be prematurely ending some guys careers here because of your inability to setup a team.
Tambling must play back. Can we please just see it again, (remember Brisbane last year). I know he can lead and mark a couple of times a game which makes you all hot and excited but he can't rove off packs. He is very disciplined so play him on the opponent you keep putting McMuffin on cos' he never stands near him. Also, I don't know if you have noticed but he is really really *smile*' quick so he will run off the Back Flank like a bullet and his skills are OK as well. And despite being small he can tackle unlike McSquibbing. While we're talking about Mrs. McSquibbing there, seriously, your decision to keep playing him is bordering on negligence. How the hell does having a defender, who refuses to man up, whether it is your instruction or not, who can not tackle or apply any physical pressure, actually help a team. If your response is because of his skills then please review the last season's videos because whatever you thought he had he does not. Also, have you thought about the impact this is having on the younger guys like Rance. Did you ever think what must go through Alex's mind when he sees a defensive spot being taken up by a 123lb walking mustouche who can't tackle, kick effectively or apply pressure. Alex must have no respect for you now. As for leaving Thompson out. You do know that we suck in the defensive midfield don't you. You do know his 1%'s have great NET VALUE to a team but why do you continue to put Nathan Brown in the midfield. He to is not a great tackler and very soft defensively. He will not run back hard to man up when the ball is not in our hands. He has an ego the size of your sun tanning machine but he can rove, yes, he is awesome off the packs so please play him forward where he can cause damage. 15 possies from Nathan inside 50 as a designated rover will be 5 goals better to the overall team performance than 25 possies from him in the midfield. Oh and I know Richo is awesome but he to must play CHF not in the midfield. He is the best one grab mark in the league, is unmatchable and takes 2 defenders, but his weakness has always been his brain fades but you want him being your quarterback! Please put Deliedio on the other HBF alongside Tambling. Could you imagine the speed the ball would come out of defence with Rance, Tambling and Deliedio taking off. But I'm sure your thought of having Newman, Bowden and co. chip sideways all day will really start working one day soon... idiot. I forgive you for playing Schulz because well, you are stupid, but when Cleve is available would you be so kind to play him at FF out of the square. Oh and great call on Browne. I too, have never rated Graham but you do know that by putting in Browne you have effectively destroyed any ounce of confidence you put into Graham when you told everyone he was going to play all year. So great move Moron on 2 fronts, one for talking up someone who we all knew didn't have much going for him, then 2, for cutting him down so now he hates your guts as well. Oh and 3, you did all this for a young giant who is nowhere ready to play AFL. So now he is probably thinking...cripes... I'm not sure if I'm that good, I got my arse kicked. You could have easily kept him at Coburg and brought him along slowly and if Graham didn't work out after 4 weeks, fine, bring him up then but now you have effectively destroyed Graham (even though the rest of us with half a brain new he was crap anyway) and shown Browne how far away he is. Oh, and don't be upset when you go to congratulate Rance on being picked for his first game and he doesn't smile much. It is not that he is not excited it is just the lack of respect coming through from a guy who feels you are standing in the way of his developing career by playing squibs.
