well_bugger me...A draw eh?Just had a decko at a few threads on the game....
All Im askin is for Redford,Tigerofold, rosy,Tiggytam,Pharace,Dirty dogtiger,Mk33,and any others Ive forgotten and respected to give me their views on tonites game.....
Too many negative tryhards on this site and Ive been busy playin my ass off tonite(believe me...I did!!!!) for a quid to watch the game....Facts....I only want facts........

I don't know anything about it sorry nitrous.  I was at the airport seeing my son off to China and was in blissful ignorance when Jools sent me a message saying Arrrrrrrrrrrr and then telling me what had happened.

I haven't read any posts about it yet either cos I was very sick when I got home.  The only thread I've read is the votes and I'm so happy to see Dan getting so many accolades.  Amazing the difference my Dan's the Man has made to his career. :hihi

I've only been to 2 drawn games and I remember my feeling at the time quite vividly.  It was so eerie, flat and emotionless after our Bummers draw.  The other one was a Nth/Hawks final and they played extra time to get a result.

I'd be interested to know everyone's feeling as the siren went.  Was it relief that at least we didn't lose or was it anger cos we should have won or numbness or something else?

Anger.

Our captain has the ball 70 metres from goal with 30 seconds to go, and kicks away a nice easy turnover for the ball to be cleared. We should have won >:(

We had our chances. l thought Tivendale was responsible for our comeback and had he had one more metre of space towards the end there could have been a hero.

Agree, but be careful paying Tivendale a compliment as they hate that around here. :hihi

A big positive is that given our errors and turnovers, we were lucky to draw. I think it was in fact one of our worst performances of the year but it does say something about the progress the kids are making; they fought their way into a position where they could win the match despite their ordinary skills. Given the improvement in performance in the past couple of weeks, its something positive to take out of the match.

Daniel was great, Will looked in trouble early but fought back well, Tivva was the most influential player in getting Richmond back in the game after half time, Jake King plays with the pose of a 100 game player, and Johnson, Joel and Foley was consistent. But when you look at the number of players who were down for the night - Lids, Bling, Polak, Polo, Schulz and the errors across most of the team, they did well to be that close.

Sums it up well IMHO.
Except for Patto, he was absolutely stuffed by the end of the game, could hardly raise a gallop, tried hard all night (but oh, his decision making ::)). Well done son.
Skill errors killed us.

Skill errors killed us, but they killed the Lions too. Both sides did their best to throw the game away and in the end it was almost fitting that the end result was a draw. I was pleased that the boys fought back from a 19 deficit to square the game up, despite playing possibly our worst footy for the year (bar Geelong).

Joel Bowden was all class in the back half, Foley tried his guts out again and King had a pretty good game as well. I was pleased for Jacko too, put a good tag on Black, if he had got 30 touches instead of 16?, the result may well have been different.

Nah. Flog him when he is bad and praise him when he is good. Not a bad effort

Tiv did well, and much as I hate to say it :) He had a decent game and was a loooong way from our worst

I felt some kind of Dull apathy at the final siren.

I also felt that the Lions had played much better than us, so we were lucky to get a draw.

Edwards: Good prospects, long way off consistency
Tambling: Wandered around pointlessly most of the night
Deledio: Such great skills, so little impact. Mind you, Sherman, his opponent, did little
Jackson: Very good, even commanding at times
King: Busy. generally effective. RUNS FOR HIS TEAMATES
Bowden: Excellent as always
Newman: What he did he did well. Maybe could have done more
Thusfield: Stuck at his task but a bit below par.
Johnson: Nuff said
Tivendale: Pretty good. Got us more than one goals with long, confident passes into the forwardline.
Pettifer: Useful, kicked the pressure goal, but field kicking and presence well down.
Pattison: Shows promise, worked hard, cost us four goals. Very mixed bag.
Foley: Tagged hard, still had a good game. Amazing how well he passes into our forwardline
Richo: As always. Very good
Schulz: Lost. Tried a bit, but no real idea of what he was doing on the field
White: Real goer. Gets run down a lot but I really liked his game
Polo: Quiet game for him, but good player. Confident, makes good decisions.
Raines: Too quiet, but generally good.
Howat: Useful as a receiver coming out of full back, but needs to do a lot more than this.
Kingsley: Gave a way frees, can't kick...and that's the positives.
Tuck: Pretty solid contributor, still not dominating.
Polak: Like this kid. Great hands, good skills, real presence on the field. Shame we have to use him in ruck, which means Shulz gets put in defence where he is totally lost.

Coach: Still hasn't instilled any teamwork at the Tigers. Time and again one Tiger would be left battling two opponents whilst other tigers players 20-25m away would stand there and watch. If a high ball is going out to a contest on the wing, wouldn't you run over and help, if you were a loose Tigers player, knowing that there is an 80% chance the ball will spill to the ground from the contest?

Apparently not.

Ever.

Flooding? Us? Why? Win loose or draw, I won't go and watch that kind of footy again.

Relief when the siren blew, because the Lions were on a break, but frustration as well. I was listening on the radio, so knew there was only a minute or so when it was up our end, and was just willing them to get it forward enough to get any kind of score.

It's the first drawn game I've been at.

Bit different to me.

This year i have played in 2 draws, witnessed 2 draws in 2 weeks for the Torquay Tigers in the Bellerine Footy League. And of course last nights draw :'(

Almost agree with every comment there. :clap
