PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

When reviewing our list and looking to put a team together i tried to come up with a good team balance and this affected where i positioned some players (yes some of you players are being played out of position) i looked at the following categories - runners, hard at its, supersonic speed, specialist goalscorers, & KPP
The new recruits didnt get a look in as i have not seen them play but this is my team and why

B Hartigan        Gaspar Kellaway

Backline looks solid with Harts providing the run (relesing newman to the mids) Gaspar solid & Kellaway as our best third tall option

HB Thursfield        *smile* Johnson

Thursfield as a running tall, *smile* to get first crack at CHB (can move fwd if needed) Johnson slips back to HBF to release Bowden Fwd

C Tambling        Couglan Deledio

Centre is all about supersonic speed Bling & Lids give us this and heaps of run, cogs provides the grunt in the middle

HF Pettifer        Richardson J.Bowden

This is our weakest line Petts is a specialist goalkicker nothing more, Richo moves to CHF as we have no one else capable of holding this spot, he can run, lead and cause havoc from here without being double teamed (if need be he can alternate out of FFWD but i like him here, Bowden - yes he has played great at HB the last 2 years - joel is very strong overhead for his size, he likes to run and would prove a good leading option at HFF, can float into CHF when Richo goes deep

F Brown        Stafford Krakour

Brown is the specialist goal scorer, Stafford is the tall deep option and Krakour is the chaser and harrasser (can be rotated with Roden)

R Simmons        Tuck                 Newman

Ruck is Simmo with Stafford relieving, Tuck for hardness and Newman for his run and carry and footy smarts

IC Hall Roden Hyde Foley

Hall provides a tall option either back, fwd or ruck, Roden, Hyde & Foley are runners who can relieve in the middle or go fwd

Others
Pattison is unlucky as i cannot find him a KPP without having 2 many talls
Stafford to play FFWD only until someone else puts their hand up (this could be P.Bowden, Limbach or Hughes)
JON, White & casserley are all options for HBF when they come on
P.Bowden i couldnt find a spot for

Would love to hear others thoughts on this line up
