Howat and Foley can both win as they were under 21 at January 1 this year (although Howat sneaks in by less than a month).
Master Bate has got the nod for R18, had a great game and is a worthy nomination after a few good performances but not more so than Foley. The article on afl.com refers to him as 'Bates' several times - how much are they paying footy journos these days?
