Thought id post some thoughts and comments on how brown is going being his president and all..lol. from what ive seen and heard browny is nearly back to his vintage 2005 form. doing extremley well at training, doesnt seem to be held back by his leg and i personally believe he is our wildcard this year.

keep up the good work browny, great to see you back on the park in full flight.

Im with you Jukesy(can I rent your avatar?I always pay top dollar for good stock ya know! ;))
Nah,seriously,I reckon ya gonna see browny cut looose cause everyone,s gonna be obsessed with Richo and Kingsley.....and with Kracks and peetts lurkin on the pheriphery,I reckon the Tigers are gonna score PLENTY! ;) :clap :cutelaugh

yeah i agree. with kingsly, richo and co the likes of brown or petts will get maybe 3rd/4th defenders depending on how teams wanna go about things.. either way our forward line is looking dangerous.. hopefully brown can get some time in the midfield at somestage, given he is right to go.

If it clicks this has the potential to be one very potent forward line.

You throw in *smile* for good measure and its gonna be hard to hope to contain all of them at one time.

The only time our forward line becomes potent is when we can say we have a CHF who regularly plays that position.

The RFC has had plugs in at CHF for over 2 decades, and look where we have been...................in the wilderness.

Anyway.........back to the Nathan Brown thread....................................

I havent been to training, but a mate that has informed myself Brown is training the house down.

We really need Brown firing as he is all class.

I agree geoffryprettyboy, we've really been crying for a CHF in the past 20 yrs. I thinked that with Riewoldt and Kingsley, it could be the answer. Riewoldt may be inexprienced, but with the players around him, I think its well worth fast tracking his progress.

Leave Richo at full forward.

I'd really like to see Brown rotate in the midfield and fowardline. very smart, talented player. Possible has the best skill of all players on our list. Let's hope Brown can remain injury free. The poor guy has had his fair share of injuries.

Watched Browny a fair bit on the track this summer an he looks super fit.

*No sign of limp at all
*Absouloutley ripped
*Speed an Skills back to normal
*Appears to be amazingly focused an determined as if theres a point to prove.

*Only negative if any ,is that in the endurance stuff his about middle of the pack

Getting the ball in there with some quality delivery has always been the hard part though.

IMHO Richardson should have played CHF his entire career and if we'd been able to find a decent FF we'd have had a great deal more success. Why on earth that didn't/couldn't happen is beyond me. :P

This is truly the crux of where a fit NG Brown is so crucial.
Brown is the only other forward throughout Richardson's entire career, who's been capable of functioning well with him in the side.

When NG combined with Richardson in early '05, along with the addition of another two talls to form 'Terry's triangle', this pairing was unstoppable. Wallace would have been absolutely devastated when Nathan did his leg, it was as if someone had tipped a cup of coffee over his blueprint for success.

With a fit Brown, an improving Schulz and one of either Hughes/Riewoldt or Kingsley, we can expect TW to try and get the 'Triangle' working again.

Make no mistake, Browny's return to form will be extremely important in determining our season.

nothing to worry about there mate, browny has never had a massive engine that`s why he isn`t a full time on-baller. now he has the rod out of his leg there will be no stopping him.

I don't get it.

When talking about Kingsley we all say "Well Richo and Brown will get the best defenders leaving Kingsley with just the 3rd/4th defender" but when it's Brown we say Kingsley will get the 2nd best defender ??

Brown is one of my favourite players and I can't wait to see his long-awaited miraculous return to full strength.

there will be different match ups for different players.

I wouldnt say Kingsley is a certain starter in our best 22.

Yeah same here. I remember leaving Telstra Dome that night. I've been following Richmond for nearly 30 yrs and I've left MANY grounds feeling depressed but I have to say that was the most depressed I've ever been after a game. :'(

With the leg fully recovered and Browny having confidence in it and training or playing not causing him any undue discomfort he should be back to his 2005 best and that will be a huge plus for the Tigers. We saw glimpses last season, but a fully fit and in form Brown would have given the side that extra game or two they needed to make the 8.

I felt sick after i saw it, probably the worst thing i have seen in footy.

It was awful. I felt real sick. Almost as sick as when that Mick Lewis joke was giving up 100+ runs to let South Africa beat our 430 odd score in the ODI last year. Actually, that just made me angry. In fact, I'm feeling angry just thinking about it now. Fat b*stard. Should have stayed in the pub where he belongs.........

Judge, they replay that game more than once a week on South Africa's Super Sport cable channel. Strangely, I haven't felt angry watching it. It's quite amazing. I still feel for the two punters who lost, I think, $20k taking the 1.01 after the Aussie innings. Anyway, to Browny; no matter his fitness or what Richo is or isn't doing, keep him near the goals. He'd be valuable anywhere, of course, but our other midfielders are better than our other options around the goals.
