Nathan Foley-coming up on SEN

Update please, not at a radio...

Foley said he couldn't believe how hard, composed and creative bling is.

Said he will be the best player from the 04 draft!

On the Hawks game - felt good in the 3rd to hit the front and thought they could've pinched it. Hawks very disciplined in their defensive structure and tough to break down.

On the last 3 weeks - blokes have tried to change from self preservation mentality to team orientated objectives. General pressure has lifted.

On Richo - Adapted well to new role started against Freo. Elite in speed and endurance proves a tough match-up. Great to have him influencing the backline, yet still kicking goals.

On his improvement - used to get plenty of the ball as a junior but was quite slow. Royal and King have got him running off and breaking lines rather than just dishing off. Big honour to be vice captain and is getting more comfortable at talking to others. Trying to make 'subtle efforts' at being a leader. Good to have Jonno, Simmo and Browny helping him in this regard.

On the Saints - shutting down key players the key. Have potent midfield and forward line and a good backline. (Pretty politically correct answer.)

Keep hearing this phrase. Makes you wonder where it came from and who's the prime perpetrators of this mentality.
Is this the remaining fallout of 'Gaspargate' that Wallace is eradicating or am I reading to much into it?

Agree with your thoughts & had the same feelings of how maybe alot of players in the past where given the ultimatiums. This culture must be changing & the youth are taking the positions & are being rewarded now on their performances. No longer based on "potential or so called experience". Bowden being dropped has helped the penny drop in few players mind.

Another example imo is the attitude changes in Shultz now, he wants to be there & was wrapt he showed emotion when kicking a vytal goal in the 3rd.

I think you're reading way too much into it. It's become a favourite Australian past time we've embraced with gusto courtesy of the yanks....always find someone to blame.
