PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

What's up with Foley lately? Since the state of origin he has been a shadow of his first half of the year. Obviously being ground down by the best taggers each week has taken it's toll on him (and cost me an elimination final in Supercoach this weekend - lost by 25 with only 32 points from Axel!). At the moment seems to be the 3rd best midfielder and no-one seems interested in stepping up to be 1 & 2.

So who's going to step up to lead our mids for next year?

Foley - Struggling with heavy tags.
Tuck - the most consistant of the lot in the last month. Hardly leadership material though.
Johnson - Never was #1 mid. Not leadership material.
Cotchin - Few years away yet.
Deledio - If the coach would play him there he would be a chance.
Jackson - Still not a regular in the 1st's.
Cogs - Who knows with this guy. Has the ability & leadership potential but will he get back on the park again?
Polo - Can't get a game
The rest of the kids at Coburg are a few years away.

For mine Deledio must stand up next year and demand the chief on ball role. Enough of this rubbish from Wallace that he is of greater value up forward. It's when we get smashed out of the middle that the rot starts.

Also need to draft another quality 1st/2nd round mid - preferrably not a midget.
