PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Geez there is a lot to liek about this guy. I remember after the Tigers beat Adelaide earlier this year he gave us full credit. Now to see the way he carries himself when his side have missed out on a Grand Final is just a credit to him and the Adelaide Football Club. No excuses, whinig or moaning about injuries, umpires or anything else.

"We set ourselves to play in a grand final and we weren't good enough to do that," Craig said.
"Does that mean you self-destruct because you're a failure? No.
"That would be totally irresponsible and immature of us as a football club to do that.
"What we do recognise though is that we are not a top two side."

Craig refused to dwell on injuries and illness which beset his side in the latter stages of this season, particularly the loss for the entire finals series of skipper Ricciuto to an uncommon strain of parvovirus.
"That is the luck of draw but in the end the best people, the best teams find a way to win and we haven't," he said.

Craig also declined to be drawn on a controversial free kick against Adelaide in the final minute of the match, with his side trailing by four points. Crow onballer Simon Goodwin was set to propel his side forward for a last roll of the dice, but a free was awarded against teammate Tyson Edwards to Eagle Tyson Stenglein for over the shoulder.
"I don't take issues with free kicks," Craig said.
"If I sit here as a coach and start to talk about umpiring decisions in determining the destiny of this footy club, it's pretty poor - we need to be better than that."
