Hi all i haven't been on here for awhile but i would like to ask peoples opinions Grant Thomas as coach next year?

Good idea, then he can be sacked from various jobs 4 years running.

Never say never - we might end up with him by default
Remember when we ended up with Frawley because no one wanted to coach us.
Hopefully all the crap that has been flying around this year hasn't put off coaching candidates from applying. We might miss out on the best candidate because he didnt't apply,

oh god. If no good coach wants to take the job I would prefer we go with a coach like Gary Ayers than Thomas

A lot of "media commentators" in cluding former RFC player & coach Tony Jewell, are saying that we will have trouble getting anyone to coach us.
IMO we will have no trouble at all, there are plenty of good candidates that would give their left arm to coach at AFL level. With the new facilities that we will have soon plus a list that is nowhere near as bad as our current ladder position indicates.
The main thing is that the club needs to go through a very thorough process to select the absolute best candidate available.

Reckon your right tt. The list is in a lot better shape than when wallace took over. We may have a few early picks this year as well. Next year hopefully Cogs and Cotchin will have good preseasons and be firing by round 1.
