Just wondering what people think of the new pre-season rule trial.
Each club can have only 16 interchanges a quarter, a total of 64 a game in the cup.
My query is regarding injury. If the moves have been used up and there's a serious injury does a team have to play with less players for the rest of the quarter or game (depending when the injury occurred) ?
I wonder what evidence there is linking frequence of interchange usage to injury. Is this another case of fiddling with the rules for the sake of it or do the AFL have a legitimate reason to tinker?
