With Coughlan coming back, you would think he can get alot of confidence from playing the preseason games. He'll be a huge addition after doing his knee once and waiting a long time because the doctor didn't fix it properly the first time. He hasn't played in a while, but every other player in teh league has had 6 months off too. Anyway, we have Coughlan back, we have Tuck back to full fitness and he will be kicking on his right foot with full confidence. We have a new look Jack who has learned alot last year. I am really hopefull we will make Newman a permament midfielder now that we have enough small defenders. I honestly think Newman has the class and courage to be a vital midfielder. Polo will be fully fit and Foley will hopefully star again. So we have gained 2 midfielders in Coughlan and Newman. We have a fitter Tuck and Polo available all year hopefully, plus an improved Jacko. We also have Simmonds back, plus Patto has improved alot, while Graham and Putt can get some game time too. So here is my 1st midfield

Foley, Coughlan, Polo

and my 2nd midfield

Newman Tuck Jackson

There is alot of size and strength, plus plenty of hardness in those players. I think we should use Deledio, King and Cotchin in spurts too. That is 9 players and I really don't see the need using Johnson, Tambling, Howat, Tivendale etc. There is just not enough hardness in those players. Johnson has courage, but lack skill and foty brain and slows the game down and turns the ball over too much.
