Footy used to be a simple game. The Tigers won or lost, the umpiring was average or woeful, and the media gave everyone a fair go.
Somewhere between a national competition and the sponsored match ball, footy started to change. Corporate muscle, media manoeuvring and conflicts of interest, made the game feel more remote and sanitised.
The web was supposed to bring us closer, and in many ways it has, but something was missing – your voice.
footyvoice is the real voice of footy fans.
We fill the gap between mainstream media websites and PuntRoadEnd.
footyvoice is a place for footy fans - of all clubs - to visit, have a laugh and have their say on the big issues in footy.
We offer expert analysis and opinion, a wrap of the news, fun and games, and even a clubhouse page devoted to the Mighty Tigers.
Most importantly we offer a unique issues feature, which allows footy fans to vote, fill in a survey or sign a petition, to tell Demetriou and co exactly how you feel about the things that matter most in our game.
The footyvoice tipping competition is free to enter and allows you to show off your footy smarts and vie for great round-by-round and end of season prizes. You can join a PunRoadEnd league and compete against other fan sites, and battle for club v club, men v women and state v state bragging rights.
