Just read in the HUN that 14000 tickets have been sold for this game :o

Everything is under control CC, I have everything covered. ;)

GPB, You got tkts already cause i hear that this ground holds 14/15K....can anyone confirm this as a 6 hr drive isn't anything to sneeze at.

I see Richo's hammies are being rested against the Pies for another week, yet the club is suggesting he's a absolute certainty for round 1. :spin

My firm belief is even if he's made the recovery from injury, he should come back and play a game for Coburg first just to build his match fitness & get a couple of quarters into his legs.

Terry was very vocal about bringing injured players back through the reserves last season with the exception of Brown and we all know where that ended up. Wallace needs to show consistency on this issue, even with his elite players.
The last thing we need is for Richo, after missing the majority of the trial games, to be thrown into the heat on the battle in Rnd1 only to tear a hamstring and miss four or five.
That would be a disaster.

Aaaaaaaachoooooooooooooo!

toO, he'll be right richo is richo and he can play with little to no trial games.....it was strain and by the time RD 1 comes it'll be around the 5 to 6 week mark.

I hope that you are right AT but Richo's human just like anyone else. He's had a few earlier back spasms this pre season to go with the hammie strain. As he gets older personally I'd be erring on the side of caution.

FWIW the same should be for Simmonds, bring him back through the reserves.

Yeah fair point ToO, Armstrong said he would be staggered if Richo didn't play RD 1...and Simmo yeah it could go either way but he is a pretty fit guy and if his ankle is right by RD 1, he will also play. He might not play the majority in the ruck but id rather him playing 30-50% in the ruck and then FWD than not having him at all.

he strained it at training; them missed an intra club - then strained it aT skilled park

manage it properly or it'll blow
His initial problem was back spasms, this leads to hammy tightness and caused him to miss the intra club.
Since he strained his hammy against the Cats you would think that the physio's would have made certain that his back has had as much work as his hammies.
Players getting back spasms from all the collisions is a huge factor in their hamstring problems.

Riewoldt deserves an opportunity.

I thought he might be a smokey for rnd 1.
Obviously not in Wallace's plans at this early stage.
Who knows ToO perhaps Jack is being kept away for a reason

Just keeping that enthusiasm or arrogance or what ever you want to call it in check before he is unleached in Rd 1. Will play.

Good question.
