With reasonable luck we might get a better run with the draw, and sounds like we may get 9-10ish home games at the G.With some games against melb, ess and collingwood we may end up playing around 13-14 there.
So after the horror draw we had this year and the ordinary run of injuries we have'nt done too bad.
Next year Browny will be like a new recruit.
Cogs. newman and Thursfield mended.
Another preseason into Howat,Tambo,Lids,Raines,Meyer,Patto,Harts,Jacko,Jon,Cass,Mcguane,Limbach and hughes.
There is going to be some competition for places in the team( a lot more so than this year.)
With a reasonable run of injuries next i'd be both surprised and disappointed if we didn't make a pretty good fist of making the 8.

I hate to say it but next year I am expecting little from Cogz, Newman and Thursfield. They will be nowhere near what they were before injured.
They wont be back to their best until at least 2008.
Similar to Browny, Gas, Rodan and even Ben Holland the first year back after injury usually provides little input whilst they try to find their feet again.
Interesting to contemplate what Richmond would do if offered a trade for Cogz.

We NEED defenders. We just have to stop these 100pt beltings.

Can't agree more. Our first pick this year should be on a key defender. If someone isnt picked soon for CHB or FF, its not looking good

Yes, after 2 years of just missing out on finals, there should be reasonable expectation of the Tiges making the finals next season.

You never know, we still might sneak in this year, but it's unlikely.

2004 - 16th
2005 - 12th
2006 - 10th to 7th.
2007 - ?

Yes the graph is at least heading in the right direction. with a reasonable draw and luck with injuries who knows!Maybe the injuries were a blessing in disguise. With an injury free run,we would never know how good polo, howat etc could have been. With adversity comes oppotunity!

Next year with some luck Cwood may have to travel interstate as much as we have this year.....and pigs might fly ::)

Next yr we should make the 8 if we are seen to be progressing....with a fully fit Brown, Coughlan, Thurstfield and Newman.....and perhaps the addition of an Akermanis or Pola....i think our list is good enough to be in the top 6.

I dont think Newman will be fully fit prolly Coughlan or Thursty for that matter (though i hope your right, not me)
Don't really want aker to come, but not fussed for the right price
Would love to see Polak
Is he a chance to come here via trade? or be traded at all?

assuming we have a reasonable run with injuries i am expecting nothing short of finals in 2007. anythinig less will be a failure

nearly all of opur injured players should be ok in 12 months and by that I mean, ready to play good considtent senior footy.

Hopefully if we start slow again and develop positive  momentum we will be in great shape in Serptember.

I wonder who will be our injury list casualties next year?

PS: nect year with some luck we will beat all the bottom 8 teams and put away a couple in the top 8 to qualify for the top bracket ourselves.
