With our list and year shot, we need to target the best young victorians that are coming out of contract at the end of the year.
Lots of people are saying the draft is not deep and you can add Qld as well so we must go hard at the best yound out of contract player in the land. I would be happy if we pay over the top to get him as well.

Oh no please tell me we don't have to do this again next year.

geez we've still got 16 games to get through before that stuff.
I'm just taking it one turnover at a time - not looking too far ahead at all.

No more South Australian recruits.

I'll start (nothing like list decisions after Rd 7): -

To be retired:
Johnson
Bowden
Polak
Brown (could save himself over the remaining games)
Simmonds (could save himslef over the remaining games)
Delisted/Traded:
JON
Schulz
McMahon (pay him out if we can't trade)
Pettifer
King

The only 30+ players to take into 2010 would be Richo (provided the injury comes up ok) and Cousins (depending on form and/or fitness for the rest of 2009).

Others I'm not sure about include:
- Pattison
- Polo
- Raines
- Jackson
- White

May be a trade/player swap with at least one of those five.

The aim has to be 10 player clean-out at the end of the year as well as a spill of all coaching positions.

Aren't Schulz and King contracted to play next year?

If so, I don't see either of them being tradeable.

Anyone can be traded. In the case of Schulz and King if they are still contracted, it's hardly likely that anyone would want them.

Buy cars for the players with forward gears only - so they get used to the concept of NOT going backwards

Maybe the board will decide to let the club sit out next year, ala South Dragons. I think we all need a year off and start again.
