Swans midfielder Nic Fosdike has retired due to an ongoing knee injury.

If im correct he played about 10 seasons. Shocking way to go out.

Don't think they can. He has to go on the LTIL for them to do that. Its why Gehrig went on the LTIL instead of retiring again last year.
