Hes an out and out champion, and i'd take him any day, even if he had to cry after every match.

I'm not sure if taking chest marks on the wing and missing easy shots at goal qualifies you as a champion. Has the bloke ever taken a grab in his hands?

Ummmmm....Come on down Stuey for the dumbest quote on PRE.  :pinnochio

The guy took the MOST contested marks for 2006.  :headscratch

He does cry a lot though.

Took mark of the year against the swannies in 2005 (?) with one of the most courageous marks I've ever seen.

Absolutley gun footballer but a huge dissapointment as a young leader.

He is a sook, and the first order of business for the new coach should be to pull him aside and encourage him to become a leader of the club. This may happen by building his self esteem as both a player and a leader. He is now in his 6th (I think) season, so he needs to stand up and lead the club, like a champion should.

Disagree. Couldn't disagree any more.

The Roo is one of the bravest footballers getting around. His mark running back with the flight of the ball in Sydney and his massive pack mark against the Swans in the wet at the SCG is all you need to know about his leadership skills. Winning 3 club championships in six years, a CHF entering the prime of his footballing life, great public speaker, great media figure, quite intelligent. Sure he teared up with his collarbone but James Hird did exactly the same thing when he had all those problems with his foot. He will go on to be a great of this game when it is all said and done and remebered as a great leader.

Just to clarify my point, its more his sooking off field which is a problem.

On field, I have no doubt he is brave, courgaes and always puts in his best for the team. The only criticism would be against Lions 05

But off field, he has a knack of looking like a sook at innapopriate moments.

Such as when GT was sacked. He should of been professional and hidden his bitterness away from the cameras

That is a more rounded view that can be justified but I still think he is allowed to show his emotions at what direction his club is heading in. If he doesn't agree with something St Kilda does why should he look happy about it?

If he's upset, well its fair enough, but the club needs to be unified to the public at all times IMO.

How do you think it affects his team if cries off field? What difference does it really matter, why should blokes always have to hide their eotions. Load of bul las far as I am concerned. Good on him.

I cry when Diggler writes a post and Laffy posts a minute later agreeing with everything he wrote
