Was reading somewhere that Young Nick Raines has come on in leaps and bounds down at Port Melbourne and maybe come under consideration at draft time. Is there any substance to this and if so is he worth considering given the improvement that Andrew has shown this year.

Anyone been keeping an eye on his development? (Phantom)

Looked ok in parts when i saw him at Coburg but nothing exceptional, maybe a change of club and intensity has helped him go to another level.
Personally i didnt think the previous Coburg set up was overly conjusive to junior development, from what i saw on game days with young Tiger listed players spending too much time on the bench at times especially kids such as Gilmore, Roach at the expense of Coburg players, but thats just my observation.

Maybe someone has seen Nick and will shed some light on this theory.

Are you thinking Rooky scenario are you.

Craigy boy I really wouldn't have a clue, as don't know enough about him since he left Coburg, but was hoping someone may have kept an eye on him as it has been mentioned that he made significant steps forward at the Burra and that a few clubs were at least looking at him.

Given Andrews outstanding improvement I would hate to seem him flourish at another club given the family tradition if he is showing signs of following in his brothers footstep.

Good work Chinese checkers and Wow ;)

Nick was hard at it and a ball winner from what i saw, quite active around the packs may have lacked a yard,
cant state any more than that on him but he was a goer.

AFL standard dont know, probably bit unlucky is Nick if he was younger than Andrew his chances would be 200% better on being taken on face value.

How many Raines brothers are there? 2 or 3
3, the younger ones name is Josh.
How old is he and does he look any good?
He is 17 and won the most consistent player for broadbeach? U18's and also placed in the senior B&F. I havent seen him play but last time i spoke to him he wasnt interested in trying to get into the AFL.

Sounds a bit like what Nathan Ablett once said.
