Cotchin, Campbell and Cousins may soon join forces to finally shake off the "Ninthmond" tag which has dogged the club and delighted our opposition over the last 15 seasons.

Each has carried the #9 saddlecloth with distinction and all have plenty more to offer the club in the future.

With Cuz doing what he does best our guys will grow another leg and we'll comfortably play finals in 09 and beyond.

Our Membership will be better than ever....sponsors will want to be a part of the NEW TIGER MACHINE

Other Clubs will fear our new potent midfield, and will hate us........thats what I want.....I want to the hunters and be hated by the other clubs, like the old days!!!!!! >:D

And all because of a 30 year old drug addict who no-one else wants, who has hardly played any football in the last two years, who has dodgy hammies and even dodgier friends? So why didn't this rebirth happen when we got Nathan Brown for example who had youth on his side (and certainly no less talent) but none of the baggage? Sadly what Cousins does best nowadays probably isn't playing football and is the reason why he isn't on the WC list anymore. We'll play 'comfortably' in the finals in 09 and beyond if the overall list is good enough (a dubious contention at best with our structural weaknesses).

The fact is he will be 31 years of age next year, the idea that we will get the same Cousins that played for the WC in his mid-20s is simply laughable. In the 31-32 age bracket if he were playing at another club, we would readily expect if he hadn't retired (which the overwhelming majority of footballers in that age backet do), to at least be operating at considerably diminished output. But not at Richmond apparently - again if he is still that amazing and can bring so much to the table why is it that none of the 15 other clubs want him? The fact is if quick fixes really worked everyone would do it...

the increasing exposure is no doubt a significant contributing factor to the decision to take benny. and courage, audacity and plain stupidity shown by the rfc comes as quite a surprise. i reckon our club has just got very serious and is becoming a little more arrogant and ruthless

i like it

Agree, the happy dream / fairytale based on the past deeds is just too exciting for most success starved Tiger fans. Grasping at straws I'd reckon. At 27/28 yep, 29/30 maybe (if still a current and fit player).... at 30/31 and not having played at all for 18 months (and could have!) meh - tell him he's dreaming.......

I'm for us picking him up,

Why? because I think it is a gamble worth taking,

But we are a desperate group if we are looking at him as our saviour, bloody hell. ::)

fair enough the fans but what possible excuse is there for those running the show.
