Youre kiddin arent ya?
All these people up in arms about the "word"being implied when the question is asked of players what its like to win a flag within 5 seconds of the siren sounding....especially when the margin is 1 point......
Exuse me,am I missin something?
If people take offence to such things...its the responsibility of the TELLY CHANNELS not to shove microphones down players gobs askin what they think or feel after the event.....
and to those people who take offence.......get real...thats what the real worlds like......
Bloody political incorrectedness again..........where have these people been the last 15 generations?
Stumped up in Lygon St debating the merits of Immaculate conception?(Or miscontraception?)
Buggered if I know..........any wonder a bloke drinks................. ???

Good one Nitro. :clap

Prudes upset by the language after the final siren should be complainng to the tv station, not bagging the players (or better still, they should just keep watching their lawn bowls and chess and stay away from actual sport).

After the Janet Jackson "incident" a couple of Superbowls ago, "live sport" here has a 7 second delay.

I sat my American wife down to watch the GF, and I was interested in her thoughts of the post match interview. She laughed her head off, and thought the honesty of the moment was priceless.

I'll play the devil's advocate here :devilangel

Swearing is part of every day life on the farm, and I'm sure one of our sheep dogs thinks it's name is a 4 letter word :-[ , and it's only the context it's used in that could offend me. I respect other people's different values though. What's said in the shearing shed here would never be said at the dinner table with my mum sitting there. :o

I don't think it's prudish to be offended by swearing and hope that it never becomes widely acceptable in the community and the media. Still you'd hope people who don't like swearing would understand the elation of the Weagles players considering the circumstances and not get themselves in a tizz over it.

I heard on the radio overnight that the Weagles have apologised for their language and for a couple of players not acknowledging the kids who presented their medals to them.
