We're a great team going through a difficult stage. It's to be expected that such a number of strong and diverse people as those at our club will not always be of the same mind, especially at this time. Mistakes are made, rash actions are taken, things are said in the heat of the moment. That does not make us a rabble.
The current situation has been resolved, and we're big and professional enough to heal the remaining rifts. Mitch's interview was a good example of that. Let's not look for scapegoats or leaks, call for the coach or captain to be deposed, or other players to be kicked out. We have processes that were put in place in cool-headed times, and we're using them.
We the supporters are not downhill skiiers or fair-weather fans. We should not be pointing fingers and announcing we will not buy memberships next year. We stand behind our team; all this will all be a footnote in a short while. Wallace will go, it's a question of when. That process was always going to be difficult, and carried out under intense media scrutiny.
As other threads are saying, let's take a deep breath and step back. The dogs bark but the caravan moves on. Hutchy etc are barking dogs - let them do what they do. They want us to be a circus, to entertain them and give them easy copy. Ignore them and what they put out; that's irrelevant. We focus on ourselves; and the match on Saturday, and the one after that.
We are the fans and we are the club.
We support our team. We're strong and we're bold. We're from Tigerland.
