Not up to standard!
No point in blaming just the players. Our whole club is not up to standard. We have a board who allows it to be mocked and cajolled into seeing the bright side of things. The only passion in our club stems on boards like this and in the outer. If we were serious and determined we would pick players on performance....their last performance. We have so many underperforming players sitting back taking home huge pay packets and the adulation that being an AFL player brings without giving anything back. in any other code players listed in other threads AND players like Brown, Bowden and I guess even Richo himself would be dumped. Short term pain for long term gain. Brown offers us patches but seriously what has he really given back even before his injury. Newman came back fighting! Richo is at the end of his career. Offload him now and allow a new breed of players to gel and come through together. We have a captain who gives us nothing. Bowden is past it. Tivendale would get lost walking through the door and his new clone McMahon has as much spark as a soggy match...a real front runner. We have Hyde who comes and goes like the seasons, Pettifer who doesnt deserve the honour of being a Richmond player.
We have a coaching panel who talk things up but have failed! Pure and simple! We need a mongrel instilled into our club one that doesn't care whose toes we tread on and who we show the door to. I want to see someone with balls lead our club and throw sentimental *smile* out the window.
We are a laughing stock and in a coach like Wallace we have someone who couldnt lead bathwater down a plug hole. Yet on ineptitude we thrive just eat us alive!

A coach with balls would come in and say right -We need to get games into our younger core. There is a cancer in this club and the senior group are riddled with it. We need to rid the cancer and bring in the young blokes as they get fit - and get games into a team of:

Now lets see the sentimental garbage start to flow...at last some direction for the future with little remnant of the past!
Play Richo/Bowden and these guys off the bench...use them as impact players.... Richo comes on at the 10 min mark etc. Have to start looking fwd...i dont care if our young KPP are not entirley upto it yet....we need to start finding out. Reiwoldt has 11 in two games, Schulz kicked 3 last week and Hughes had 4 today and probably shouldve had 3 last week. PLAY THEM WALLACE.
