As we all well know our season is long gone and it's good to see we are starting (after all these years!) to give the kids a run. I understand the dangers in bringing the kids in too early when they are not ready but watching Posty in the VFL in the past couple of weeks shows me is now ready. Throw him into the deep end and let's see what this kid has got to offer. He could be one of the very few positive factors to come out of Richmond's 09 campaign. I've seen him a few times this season and although he could do with a pre-season in the gym he plays with confidence and has reasonable skill for a person of his age.

Looking foward to this weeks match against Adelaide up in the GC. Don't think we'll win but recently the Tigers seem to turn on the heat when they're playing interstate so hopefully the boys put up a good show.

So c'mon Jade, bring in Jayden Post and bring on the Tiger future!

Jade was interviewed by Healy and Hird before Sundays game (on Fox Sports) and he said that Post was next in line to make his debut. I suspect we will see him this weekend.

Can we also add to Rawlings:

Please don't put Rance on a player like Del Santo again.
Please put a tag on the oppositions dominant influence on the day. No point watching players like Goddard run around with only their shadow chasing them.

Thanks BT. Can you see if you can get Gooooooodis & Putt into the squad ?

The gooo didn't play for burgers because of an injury. They are treating him with kid gloves.

No need to rush him into the AFL yet. Very erratic at VFL level.

I thought it was good to see Rawlings giving players different roles & seeing what they can do we can't make finals so the best thing to do is mix the side around Rance on Dal Santo would have been a massive learning curve also Edwards playing in the middle pointed out that he is not up to it yet against the top liners but you will never know if you don't thorw the guys in there. Would love to see if Connors could play off half back or in the middle why not try Nahas as a rover Tuck out of the goal square Newman running through the middle etc.

Rawlings mentioned he is next in line before last weeks game, think it's safe to say he will come in this week.

Oh and Hi, from a regular BF user and long time PRE reader. ;)

This thread should be titled: Note to the Match Committee & Rawlings who made the decision to axe our senior players. ;D

As far as Post is concerned, will no doubt in my eyes will be given a taste.

Also would love to see Hughes come in for the rest of the season. I know he's done basically nothing all year and has been playing for the Coburg reserves but I was there at that day in Adelaide last year when he kicked 6 goals and can't but help thinking that's he's worth one more shot.

As I mentioned before our season is gone. It's time to blood as many kids as possible and play the players of the fringe such as Schulz and Hughes. Doing this for the last 9 games could potentially bring success to Richmond much, much sooner and help us dearly with list management.

Which other players would people be interested to see given a shot in the past 9 weeks?

You tag Goddard, Montagna runs riot, you tag Motagna, Lenny Hayes runs riot. The only way to beat the Saints is to fight attack with attack. You can't tag their playmakers they have too many of them.

Post deserves a go, Connors should have another crack at it as well and what's happening with Thomson? The club traded for him and hasn't even bothered to give him a game.

It's sad that we are half way through the season and one of the few moderately interesting things that can happen for the remainder of the season is our 2nd round pick get his first game.

Sounds like a pretty business as usual season down at Tigerland.

It just shows how *smile* our season has been so far when I'm looking more forward to the U18s championship to see who we can draft, as opposed to wanting to see the Tiggers get bent over.
